Important Things

I have many important things in my life that I could not live without.

From people I know, to places I visit, even the music I listen to all means something to me.
The very first thing that comes to mind when someone asks me what is important to me are the people that are important to me. My sister Krista is by far the best sister I could ever ask for; if I need anything she would be the first person that I go to for help. For example one time I got kicked out of a party at 3am and Krista came to pick me up. She is always there to talk about my problems and help me out. Obviously like any other normal siblings we do argue a lot, but it never lasts for very long. Krista is by far my favourite family member. Another person in my life that is extremely important to me is my nephew Cole. He is one year old and is the cutest baby I have ever seen. Cole can cheer me up even when I am in the worst mood. I remember one time I was having the worst day and nothing seemed to go right. I was being rude to everybody and nothing could make me smile. When I got home from school my sister showed up for a surprise visit with Cole and I instantly got the biggest smile on my face. It is impossible for me to be in a bad mood around him.

Another thing that comes to mind when I'm asked what is important to me are the material things. I could never live without my iPod; I have a different playlist of music for every type of mood I am in. Music makes me happy when I'm upset and sometimes even upset when I'm happy. Every time I get really worked up and upset I block out the world with my headphones. The other day in English class I got so frustrated to the point that I had to leave class. After I left the class I went and sat outside in the sun and listened to music that put me in a better mood. That is only one of many times that music has saved me from myself.

Important Things in File

...Important points about class file in Java 1. class file in java is generated when you compile .java file using any Java compiler like Sun's javac which comes along JDK installation and can be found in JAVA_HOME/bin directory. 2. class file contains byte codes. byte codes are special platform independent instruction for Java virtual machine. bytecode is not a machine language and mere instruction to JVM. since every machine or processor e.g. INTEL or AMD processor may have different instruction for doing same thing, its left on JVM to translate bytecode into machine instruction and by this way java achieves platform independence. 3. class file of inner class contains $ in there name. So if a Java source file contains two classes, one of them is inner class than java compiler will generate two class file. separate class file for top level and inner class. you can distinguish them by looking at there name. Suppose you have top level class as "Hello" and inner class as "GoodBye" then java compiler will generate two class file: Hello.class Hello$GoodBye.class Hello$GoodBye.class is a class file for inner class. whose name is in format of top-class$inner-class. 4. You can look bytecode of class file using javap command. javap command can also display method and field information from .class file. see my post how to decompile .class file in Java for more details. 5. class file format is subject to change and its changed to support new feature introduced in Java 1.5. The Very Important Thing

...9-505-031 REV: DECEMBER 5, 2005 JOHN DEIGHTON Nectar: Making Loyalty Pay Persuading British households to do anything was not easy, yet, in the 18 months leading up to March 2004, Loyalty Management UK (LMUK) had induced over 54% of them to try collecting Nectar points and 40% to persist, making Nectar Britain’s largest rewards program. Each week it added 50,000 new members (whom Nectar called collectors). Rob Gierkink, CEO of LMUK, was pleased with his team’s accomplishment. In March 2004 Justin King had just taken over as group chief executive at Sainsbury’s, the supermarket chain that was Nectar’s largest issuer of points. He saw that more than half of Sainsbury’s 240 million pound (₤) annual marketing budget went to Nectar and said: “Nectar represents a significant investment for Sainsbury’s, and I can’t help but feel that if we put the investment into more staff in our stores we’d see a better return. I was part of the senior management team that turned around the ASDA supermarket chain before it was sold to Wal-Mart, and the changes we made at ASDA were all about price and value for money. ASDA didn’t have a loyalty program.” He continued: But I do understand the value of knowing more about what our customers are doing dayto-day and this is part of the value we get from Nectar. We use the Nectar data on our customers to help us determine which stock to carry in which stores. The Nectar data also allows us to do much better and more targeted marketing...

Why Is The Things They Carried Important

...In his short story “The Things They Carried,” O’Brien describes the great significance and meaning that ordinary objects can carry for soldiers. Everyone has things in their lives that bring back certain memories and times (whether it be good or bad). The three main items that I carry with me most of the time that have great significance to me include a movie ticket, a pen, and my bike. The first thing that I carry with me in my wallet is my movie ticket from Annie. This simple item has meaning to me because it was one of the first activities that my sister and I got to do after she went to college. She is my oldest sibling, so after she went away to college, I really missed spending time with her. When I was fifteen, I went to spend the night in her dorm room, and she took me to see the movie Annie in the movie theater the next day. I really enjoyed spending time with her again and have kept the ticket in my wallet ever since....

The Most Important Thing in My Life

...The Most Important Thing In My Life When I need someone to laugh and have fun with — someone to learn from; or just someone to talk to — I have my whole family with me to do so. I know that my mom, my dad, my sister, and my brother will always be there for me when I need someone to be with when I’m not feeling like myself — and I know they will be patient and try to empathize with what I might be feeling. I believe that family is the most important thing in one’s life. My brother helps me to have fun, my sister listens to what I have to say, my mom teaches me to be patient, and my dad tells me to be curious and open-minded. I take in all of this and think how lucky I am. My dad always tells my brother, my sister, and me that family is most important, and that family should always come first before others. His belief influenced me greatly. What he says makes me stop and think. My dad and my mom have family overseas, hundreds and hundreds of miles away in Cambodia. My dad has been without his biological mother and siblings for about thirty-four years, since the separation during when the Khmer Rouge was taking over Cambodia from 1975-1979. In 2004, we all went to Cambodia to visit the rest of my family, who I barely knew. I try to empathize with what it would be like without my little brother, my sister, and my parents, but all the same, it was very hard to imagine. This experience of taking a moment to empathize with what it would be like in some else’s shoes, made me look...

3 Most Important Things for Cv

...Nowadays it is getting harder to find a job because of the economic depression. There is an increase in the number of applicants, on the other hand there is not enough vacancy for them and it creates a competition. In this situation, writing an effective CV can be just the reason of getting an interview or even maybe of getting hired. However how can a CV be effective? How can we take attention and have a chance to get an interview from the company we apply? There can be lots of different things to consider for writing a CV but in our opinion, the three most important things are being clear, simple but informative, stating what helps you to stand out from others to fit the job and hooking up the person who is reading. First of all, we firmly believe that, a CV must be removed from everything unnecessary. It must be simple, easy to understand and at the same time include all the necessary information. As Cowan states in her article “10 Tips on Writing a Successful CV”, there are lots of other people who send their CV’s and because of this most of the time the decision-maker will not read each one fully, they will decide about it within sections so keeping it clear, short and informative is going to give you a better chance (2012). As it can be seen it is a simple but tricky part of writing a CV to keep it clear and short but informative. Secondly, while you try to keep it simple, clear and short, the information you are going to put about yourself must be relevant and matching...

Winning Is Not the Most Important Thing in Life

...“Winning is not the most important thing in life – it’s everything.” Do you agree? LOA: Winning should merely remain a constantly-refined target that keeps changing after being achieved, not to be overly obsessed over at the expense of forgoing other important aspects, such as morals. Topic sentence 1: Indeed, winning seems to be the equation to maximizing satisfaction in life because of its merits. Pt 1: Only winners are remembered, not losers. E.g: Most people only remember victorious sportsmen and teams. People only remember Usain Bolt for winning his Olympic Gold Medal the 2012 Summer Olympics, but not many can recall that Yohan Blake, a fellow Jamaican, won the silver medal. Pt 2: The accolades and prizes won give people instant gratification and more importantly, recognition for their hardwork. E.g: Cristiano Ronaldo finally won his first Ballon d’Or after years of effort in 2013 and he was seen in tears while clutching on to his prize – a testament to how gratifying he felt for receiving it. Topic sentence 2: Winning is Hobson’s Choice when high stakes are involved. e.g: Singapore and other nations which lack in natural resources have to compete on the global scale via innovation and efficiency to sustain their countries’ progress. Any platform lost might be detrimental to the development of the country, in terms of financial costs and reputation tarnished. E.g On a micro level, students and companies fight over tooth and nail to achieve their desired results...

...stress? Stress is your body’s reaction to the things which you perceive as pressures. Stress occurs when you feel that you cannot cope with those pressures. Our bodies are designed to react in 2 ways to stress: to fight against the pressure, or to run from it. This is called the fight or flight response and it is controlled by the release of a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol makes your body react in ways that allow you to fight harder or run faster and it focuses your attention on the thing causing you stress. This response enables you to deal with stress effectively by either battling to get through the problem, or by removing yourself from a situation which is causing you to feel stressed. Sometimes we see so many pressures around us that stress can become a long term problem. Although being stressed for short periods of times can be good for us, long term stress can have negative consequences and lead to problem such as high blood pressure, anxiety and depression. © Microsoft Stressors Stressors are the things around us which can cause a stress response. I Miss the Couch

...lot of things to do and not a lot of time to get them done. It has been like this for a while now. Actually it started in my vacation. Funny, huh? I had a two months period with NO school, NO to-do’s and NONE of the normal activities, which take my time. But somehow I still managed to stuff so many plans into my two months of break, that I was completely exhausted, when I finally went back to school. Of some reason I could not overcome the challenge of spending time on doing nothing, doing nothing at all. I failed. Badly. What is wrong with me? The funny thing is that when I came back to “civilization” after being away for such a long time, most of my friends had had the same problem. Apparently we, humans of the Western Europe, are exceptionally great at larding our time off with everything else than sitting in a couch and just stare. Why is that? Are we afraid of being inactive and nonsocial? What is it in us that simply demand us to have plans, being on the road and not prioritize some “Home-Alone-Time”? Well, I know that there are different personalities, different people and different needs. I, myself, am very extrovert, so I love having plans. I am feeling the best, when I am around people. But the amounts of plans I and many others have in their breaks are frightening. Why can we just not let our normal, stressed ordinary days take a rest, and do the same with ourselves? Of course, it is often great and awesome plans we have, I get it. But still… The funny thing is that...

Academic Performance of Working Students

...Profile of Working Students and It' S Implication on Academic Standing CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Not all people are given the chance to have a quality education especially in the Philippines because it is now complicated.
