Following report will focus on MacVille’s current vision and mission statement.
The report is subdivided in 4 sections, such as 1 Existing vision and mission, 2 Current approaches, 3 Revised vision and mission, 4 Organisational values and a summary of meeting notes taken during a meeting with the CEO Patricia Mees and Mr. Zafar C. from 27 Feb 2014.

1. Existing vision and mission

Vision: MacVille is looking forward to become a national accepted brand. The company expects to establish and strengthen its position in the hospitality industry and wants to be recognized as a key component in the success of hospitality establishments, both large and small.

Mission: MacVille is a high tech company, specialising in the manufacturing of espresso coffee machines. It is our mission to meet the high level of productivity, consistency and sustainability expected of our clients who, in turn, allow us to prosper and pass on our profits to our stakeholders and the various communities in which MacVille operates.

2. Current approaches

• Incorporating innovation • Strategic alliances, goals and benefits • Identify the community MacVille serves • To distribute products or services to a specific industry or a set of customers. • To jointly develop products and services for the local market. • To work with local or regional counterparts to drive a common agenda.

Benefits

• Provide economical sustainability • Provide wide and lasting benefits to the community • Cooperation in the sharing of production facilities • Combining of knowledge, skills and technology • Marketing of each other’s products using existing distribution networks • Co-funding of projects are the collective forms of strategic alliances.

3. Revised vision and mission

Vision: Within 5 years from now, MacVille is: 1. Looking forward to become a national accepted brand. 2. Expecting to be established and strengthen it’s position in the hospitality industry 3. Working hard to be recognized as a key component in the success of hospitality establishments.

Mission: MacVille is a high tech company, specialising in the manufacturing of espresso coffee machines. It is our mission to meet the high level of productivity, consistency and sustainability expected of our clients who, in turn, allow us to prosper and pass on our profits to our stakeholders and the various communities in which MacVille operates.
MacVille sees environmental sustainability as a core corporate responsibility, and we’re tackling it directly across our operations.

Due to our new strategic alliances MacVille is able to combine and share its knowledge, skills and technology for a better, refined and more efficient outcome.

The stakeholders always admired the strong leadership MacVille’s is known for as well as the professional and moral standards of conduct in everything the company accomplishes. The employees are encouraged in working together in their own ways toward a common goal, which defines a team. Developing leadership and sustain a safe work environment is one of MacVille’s highest priorities. Outwardly the company is dedicated to environmental practices and if offering meaningful value to its customers. MacVille strives for perfection and due to its new alliances MacVille is more competitive than ever before.

4. Organizational values

• It is very important to seek for new innovations and to foster the company’s standards. Not to fear new concepts, promote new ideas and approach bold projects has suddenly gained a higher importance for MacVille.

• What better way to promote your mission than someone promoting your business for you? That’s exactly what MacVille’s CEO thought and urges the organization to seize the opportunity to form new strategic alliances and to look out for new partnerships, which do exactly that.

• Furthermore MacVille has to improve its status as corporate citizens. To do so, it needs to identify itself with the community it serves. Various donations of the company’s profits have to be made to non-profit organizations. MacVille has to be actively involved in community services.

• Due to a variety of developments in new areas during the past few years, there has been a successful approach to implement the changes into the vision of MacVille. Because of its significant impact on MacVille’s operations, the changes will mirror in the company’s mission and values.

• Despite the many important factors mentioned in the existing Mission statement it is essential to include the importance of innovation, resulting from individual teams within the company. The CEO Patricia Mees requested the incorporation of findings on how to improve the efficiency of processes and effectiveness of customer solutions.

While reviewing the current Vision and Mission of MacVille with the CEO Patricia Mees we came to a stage where I wanted to know more about the development of MacVille’s values. Patricia Mees stated, “MacVille’s values have been the same for as long as the organisation has existed ” and explained what she meant more detailed.
“For MacVille’s stakeholders, it has always been about stewardship and to adhere to professional and moral standards of conduct in all that we do. For our employees, we are committed to encouraging self-directed teams, we cultivate leadership and maintain high levels of safety. Externally, MacVille is committed to wise environmental practices and offering meaningful value to our customers.”

Values are and stay the same • Stakeholders: Leadership, professional and moral standards • Employees: Encouragement, building teams, cultivate leadership, provide safety • External: environmental practices, engage with communities, customer service Later on the CEO and I discussed the implementation and what has changed since it has formulated the first time in 2004. Patricia Mees explained there had been some major developments since it’s draft 5 years back.

Through Emma Knight, Terkel describes the life of a beauty queen using irony and pessimism.
