This term was introduced in about 1830 and it denotes the Indian civilization of about the last 2000 years by British writers. In the last century of the second millennium BC was when the Indo-European people settled in India and their religion was Vedism and Hinduism evolved from that. By incorporating all forms of worship and belief Hinduism does not necessitate the selection or elimination of any. Hinduism does not have a beginning or a founder it is both a civilization and congregation of religion, there is no central authority, hierarchy or organization. They believe in an infinite, eternal and all-embracing principal. Hinduism is one of the most sacred religions in the world. There is no other religion that compares to it. Hindus do not try to push their religion on anyone nor do they feel their religion is better than anyone else’s. They are a very nonviolent religion and do not discriminate. However, it was a little over sixty years before they adopted the name Jehovah’s Witness in order to separate themselves from other Christian denominations (Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, 2006). Jehovah’s Witness is a Christian religion but differs from traditional Christianity because of their non-trinitarian beliefs. It is a monotheistic religion because they believe in and worship only one God. From their small numbers when founded, their following has constantly increased throughout the years and today they have a worldwide membership of around seven and a half million people. They teach followers to live a good moral life and to help others, no matter what the religious beliefs or racial and ethnical background of that person may be. They spread their message through their publication of the Bible journal The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom, which is published in over 190 languages and is the world’s most widely circulated religious magazine. I had been away from the area for so long I did not know anyone to talk to. Someone knocked on my door and asked me if I could come outside, they would like to talk to me. There stood two men who told me they were missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (AKA Mormons). I felt like a higher power sent them to me. I knew nothing about this Church, but I had heard of Mormons and what I had heard was not good. I was curious and wanted to learn more. The missionaries started talking to me about their faith and read to me from the Mormon Bible, and we had prayer that day.
