Questions for Interview: * What inspired you to become a U.S. citizen? * What inspired me to become a citizen is the fee I would contiguously have to pay when renewing my green card, I figured it would be much cheaper for me to pay a one-time fee and become a citizen. * What steps did you have to take as part of the naturalization process? * I learned English from watching a lot of TV and music videos, and then my brother taught me everything I needed to know for the test because he took it before. I passed my U.S. History and English then answered some questions about my history. Once that was done I pledged my loyalty and became a citizen. * How would you describe how you felt about the process? * I felt very nervous but relieved after I had passed and become a citizen, it was a big step for me. * How has gaining citizenship changed your life? Is your daily life different because of gaining citizenship? * It has changed my life in the aspect of not having to worry about having to renew my green card repeatedly, its taken a weight off my shoulders. * Do you feel the process was worthwhile? * Yes the process is definitely worth while and saves you a lot of $. * If you had to, would you do it again? Please explain. * I would have taken the test earlier so I would have had it done and over with and saved a lot more money. * Create at least one additional question for your interviewee. * Has any of your siblings ( that are from Italy) taken the test? Did they prompt you to take it? * My brother took the test before I did and he was the main reason I considered taking the test, he helped me study and prep for the test so I was confident my money wasn’t going to be wasted. * The purpose the naturalization process is used to test an individual that is aspiring to become a US citizen. Its used to test how ready they are and how much information they know about our country. The process works well because they ask what is necessary, ask for a submission of an application, giver finger prints, take a written exam and swear the oath. All these steps are the ensure the individual is ready for the duties and responsibility to receive the benefits of becoming a US citizen.
I would not change the process because I think it is very in-depth and prepares the test taker for what is at stake.

...Journal of Diabetology, June 2010; 3 :4 http://www.journalofdiabetology.org/ Review Article: Diabetes in Prevention Abstract: Pakistan: Epidemiology, Determinants and * R. Hakeem 1 , 2 , A . Fawwad 2 Epidemiology and determinants of diabetes in Pakistan have peculiar combination of risk factors. Strong gene and environment interplay along with in-utero programming in context of low birth weight and gestational diabetes are the main contributors of a high prevalence of type 2 diabetes in Pakistan. The real burden of diabetes is due to its chronic complications leading to increased morbidity and mortality. The unique combination of various risk factors necessitates research studies to make appropriate risk assessment tools to control this diabetes pandemic. Better understanding of aetio-pathological genetic and environmental factors are suggesting prevention should begin much before the start of disease process and interventions in high-risk subjects alone will not be sufficient. It is necessary to initiate population based programmes for primary prevention of diabetes including a range of activities targeted at different age groups from fetal life to old age. Synchronized and coordinated efforts from public and private sectors are needed to combat this mammoth health and economic issue. Key words: Diabetes, Pakistan, Introduction: Escalation in rates of diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes in Pakistan is posing threats to the economy and quality of life...

Financial Statement Analysis

...solution SOLUTIONS TO EXERCISES AND CASES For FINANCIAL STATEMENT ANALYSIS AND SECURITY VALUATION Stephen H. Penman Fifth Edition CHAPTER ONE Introduction to Investing and Valuation Concept Questions C1.1. Fundamental risk arises from the inherent risk in the business – from sales revenue falling or expenses rising unexpectedly, for example. Price risk is the risk of prices deviating from fundamental value. Prices are subject to fundamental risk, but can move away from fundamental value, irrespective of outcomes in the fundamentals. When an investor buys a stock, she takes on fundamental risk – the stock price could drop because the firm’s operations don’t meet expectations – but she also runs the (price) risk of buying a stock that is overpriced or selling a stock that is underpriced. Chapter 19 elaborates and Figure 19.5 (in Chapter 19) gives a display. C1.2. A beta technology measures the risk of an investment and the required return that the risk requires. The capital asset pricing model (CAPM) is a beta technology; is measures risk (beta) and the required return for the beta. An alpha technology involves techniques that identify mispriced stocks than can earn a return in excess of the required return (an alpha return). See Box 1.1. The appendix to Chapter 3 elaborates on beta technologies. C1.3. This statement is based on a statistical average from the historical data: The return on stocks...
