...How did the earth become a form? The question has been an agreement between Atheists and the christians who believes that God created to universe. There was conversation about secular evolution theories about the earth evolved billion years, and humans evolved from lower life form by natural processes. The Bible is the only and first record primeval history that stated time and space started(in the Beginning), and in the beginning God created the (Heavens and the Earth) they were established in the Beginning. In the beginning God created man and woman, so they can maintain the Earth and be fruitful and multiply. In the book Genesis the first opening statement is “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The Hebrew verb (created) is a word associated the only God in the Bible, which He was and is the only God that could've created the Earth and put time in motion. This proved that God existence before time began, and He is the Creator of time too. He spoke the world into existence out of nothing. Scientific creationism believe in the bang theory that the earth just form from gases and wind combined created big expulsion in space caused the Earth to develop. ...Cosmic Creation Myths Vanessa Pomi HUM 105 December 1, 2014 Christa Menninger Cosmic Creation Myths There are several creation myths across different cultures. Every different culture has its own unique creation myth that explains how the world and life came to be (Leonard & McClure, 2004). Although each culture has a different way of explaining the creation story, there are similarities and differences among them. Two of the myths that are more divergent in content are the Eddas creation myth from Norse culture and the Genesis creation myth from Hebrew culture. Although both creation stories have more than one realm, they differ in how they break each area down. Both creation myths also have a god or gods as the beginning creators. All cultures have their own creation myths and it is interesting to see the similarities and differences between them. There are many worlds or realms to take into consideration when discussing the Norse creation myth. In the beginning there was a realm called Muspell which was made of fire, and a realm called Niflheim which was made of ice (Leonard & McClure, 2004). Between both of these realms was a sea of emptiness called Ginnungagap (Leonard & McClure, 2004). All three of the realms were not considered to be part of the heavens or the earth but rather before earth. These realms were the beginning or pre-worlds of the Norse creation myths. According to Norse mythology there were two main creators, Ymir and Audumla (Leonard...

One of God’s most cherished creations, Lucifer, was placed in charge of guarding his royal thrown (Ezekiel 28:12-16). One day Lucifer took pride in his own beauty and his heart was filled with pride (Ezekiel 28:17). He began to think highly of himself and began to think wrongly of God. He began to take what rightfully belonged to God and began to put himself in God’s place. For the first time in all creation, one of his own had sinned against him. God judged him accordingly and placed him in the lake of fire (Matthew 25:41). The sacred scriptures tell us that after the fall, Lucifer was thereafter known as the Devil or the accuser. One question that remains to be answered is this: when did this event occur? Some theologians claim that Satan’s fall occurred before Genesis 1:1. Others contend that there was a gap that took place between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Yet others make the claim that Lucifer’s fall took place between Genesis 2 and Genesis 3. Little scriptural evidence exists to answer the question of when the fall happened...

...Tues.-Thurs. Conversation Starter #1 The First thing I noticed After reading Genesis Chapter 1 through 3 is that in the first creation God Creates the heavens before the earth. “In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen. 1:1-2). In the second chapter God says he creates earth then heaven. “In the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens” (Gen. 2:4-5). It might be a small comparison, but it caught my eye. Then, the last Creation in Genesis chapter 1 was humankind, “Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image according to likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish in the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth’” (Gen. 1:26). Which was the last thing created on the 6 days of creation. In Chapter 2, God creates man before everything else. “In the Day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, when no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up-for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was no one to till the ground; but a stream would rise from the earth, and water the whole face of the ground- then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground” (Gen. 2:4-8). In this same paragraph, I noticed that the writers refer to God as “LORD God”, but in chapter 1 God is called, “God.” Also, in the first one God creates everything in 6 days and rests...

...the vast periods of time demanded by uniformitarian geologists. It is then claimed that George H. Pember further elaborated the theory in his work (Earth’s Earliest Ages) in 1876, and the theory was finally popularized in the footnotes of the Scofield Reference Bible beginning in 1917. Today, it is said that only pinheads and nitwits of dubious scholastic background maintain a belief in the “Gap Theory”. If, as it is today asserted, the theory can only be traced back to Dr. Chalmers, then the statement of its reason for introduction should not be discounted. On the other hand, if the theory antedates both Dr. Chalmers and any uniformitarian geologist, then it should and indeed must be investigated by any serious student of scripture to determine why such a Gap exist. Mark E. Howerter, in his work “Creation VS Evolution: The Gap Theory Explained”, follows the now accepted view when he wrote: Uninformed Christians have propagated two theories that have tried to reconcile the Bible with evolution. They have done this because from kindergarten through graduate school it is taught that evolution is a proven scientific fact. Christians have swallowed this hook, line and sinker. They have tried to get God out of a bind, so to speak, because the Bible is in direct contradiction with the theory of evolution. People who take the Bible seriously and literally have introduced two theories to explain how the Bible and evolution can be reconciled. These theories are commonly...

...Young Original Creation of Earth 201530 Summer 2015 PHSC 210-D07 LUO August 16, 2015 Introduction. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. (Genesis 1-5 ESV). The topic I choose to right about is The Original Creation of Earth, I believe this debate is a great teaching tool for all walks of life, regardless of which side of the debate you are own. So in this paper I will attempt to compare nebular hypothesis vs six-day creation. Six Day Creation View. The first chapter of the Bible states that God created heaven and earth, and all living thing in six days. The Young Earth view is understood as literally six days. Many Christians believe Genesis 1 is detailing the account of creation showing God as the Creator and the beginning of all things. This view does not only shows God as the creator but it gives insight into the heart of God and his plan for all mankind. Young Earth argue that the Bible clearly teaches that the earth is young. From the beginning of the universe to the creation of man. Young Earth use data for estimating a date...

...BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW ESSAY CHARLIE MITCHELL THEO 104-D59 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14). When one speak of, “foundational to the Christian faith is the belief that mankind is created in the image of God” (Biblical Worldview Essay instructions). It goes without saying, we cannot overlook the passage that indoctrinate our thoughts of this phenomena event. Very early in the writing of the bible, God set the stage for what his intentions were to be. The writing of Genesis sets that stage in the creation, from the first verse, “In the beginning God created the heaven and earth” (Genesis 1:1). Through the final creation, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). Thesis: There is no argument, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us” (Etzel, Gutierrez, 2012). The question lies in, is he (man) living out that creed? Has man’s perspective of God’s commandments gone off the beaten path? Where did man sway? In my profession, there are no less than 10,000 personnel that makeup our company structure. All with varying demographic makeup, yet all are considered as one from our CEO perspective. We have a product to market to the general public, each employee are...

...myths chosen for this paper are the Genesis creation (Hebrew origin) of the Christian culture, and the Norse culture of Iceland (the Vikings). Both of these creation myths start with an emptiness where conflict and chaos eventually develop. The Genesis crearion is between God, nothing, blackness, emptiness, loneliness, and the need to create something. The Norse creation is between the dark cold realm of Niflheim, within the emptiness of Ginnungagap, and the fiery realm of Muspell, where nothing can grow. There are nine classifications of creation myths, which most include more than one motif. The Genesis cosmogonies applies both ex nihilo, and deus faber motifs. The story begins with the ex nihilo myth, which God creates the light, the dark, the sun, the moon, the earth, the stars, plants, animals, birds, and fish, within six days out of nothing. This account is told in Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament. Then God creates a man, Adam, in his own image from the dust of the earth and breathes life into him. When God realizes it is not good for man to be alone, he causes a deep sleep to come upon Adam. Then he takes a rib from Adams side and forms a woman. Therefore, combining deus faber (the "maker-God") with ex nihilo motifs. The Norse creation myths combines secretion, sacrifice, and accretion/conjunction motifs. It combines fire and ice in a random conjoining of elements. The myth begins with Muspells warm breath meeting with Nieflheim, the frost of the arctic,...

...Worldview of Buddhism Buddhism origins of creation is there was no beginning or ending. There is not a particular time, date or creator, the world and mankind appear and disappear as time passes in our vast universe. Mankind is a never ending cycle of reincarnation. People choose in their own thoughts, to a beginning and end. The identity of Buddhist can change through their reincarnation cycle. They believe they are natural spirits. Their choices, in good or bad actions will hold the key to their next life, which is Karma. Buddhism, consider to be kinetic, they are in a constant and continuous change through their lifecycles. Buddhist search for meaning of complete peace, joy or bliss, also often called nirvana. Nirvana is reached when a life has released all negative desires and the reincarnation no longer is needed. They can reach the end of suffering by the teaching of the Four Noble Truths. The five moral principles or the silla for Buddhism are, do not take a life of any kind, do not steal, abstain from immoral sex, do not lie and no intoxicants. The Eightfold path is also followed, it is the concept of right speech, right actions and right livelihood. They try to practice these to reach nirvana. Buddhist choose their own destiny. They do not believe in freewill or God. Their good and/or bad actions determines who or what they will be reincarnated as. This cycle continues until a life no longer suffers the worldly desires. Nirvana is the end to the...

...Myths Kimberly L. Moore HUM/105 World Mythology Diana Bernstein February 1, 2016 Creation Myths * I have chosen the “Greek Creation Myth,” and the “Mayan Creation Myth.” * In the “Mayan Creation Myth,” the heavens and the earth are both represented. The elements of earth are: day, moon and stars, mountains and hills, streams and rivers, animals, and human beings. The heavens are represented by Veracocha’s retreat to Lake Titcaca, from which he emerges in the beginning of the myth. It also describes a sea world as the god and his companions retreat to the coast of the sea, in the end of the myth, never to be seen again (Rosenberg p. 599) In the “Greek Creation myth,” earth, the sky world, and underworld are all represented. The earth is made from the earth Goddess, Gaia. The sky, and its starry mantle are Uranus, Gaia’s husband. The underworld is a place that contains the deepest, darkest depths of the earth, but also the “Blessed Isles,” a beautiful place where the heroes go when they die (University of Phoenix, 2015). * The creator in the Mayan creation myth is Lord Con Ticci Viracocha, “prince of the heavens and the earth” (Rosenburg p.599). Viracocha created the heavens and the earth first. Then, he created the animals and a race of “gigantic human beings” (Rosenburg p.571). He was displeased with the behaviors of the animals and humans, turned them into stone, and flooded the earth killing all of its inhabitants. He began again by creating day, moving on...

...evolves around God and the Bible is what is used to frame this view. PART TWO 1. The Question of Origin – The origination of biblical worldview belongs to and starts with God. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Theistic worldviews such as Judaism, Islam, and Christianity believe the same. We, Christians, describe Him as being Omniscience, Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Sovereign, and Immutable. God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1) He is the Creator God. “Most Christian churches teach that God is triune and all three Persons (Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit) of the Godhead were involved in the creation of universe and mankind.” (Weider and Gutierrez 2011, 56) Scripture references to the question of origin are in Genesis 1:1 and 2 Peter 1:21. 2. The Question of Identity - Genesis 1:27 says that man was created in the image of God. Humans are a special creation of God. “In Judaism and Christianity, God created mankind above the animal and man was created a little lower than the angels.” (Weider and Gutierrez 2011, 58) By us being that special creation, we are identified as rulers of the animals and to oversee them. Our identity is based off of several aspects: the ability to make right or wrong choices; self-conscious wisdom; our artistic creativeness; the size of love we can have amongst and toward each other; and our desire for God. All of these factors help identify the human as being Gods creation and why we are his #1 and best...

...and the background of how God intended to create the earth and how He created us to be rulers. Knowing why God did what He did makes the worldly sense of creation easier to understand and also easier to know that to Him, we were perfect. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth,” Genesis 1:1 states that God created the heaven and the earth. With that, everything God made was how he wanted it be. Therefore, there are no faults in His creation. Creation to Him was like painting a beautiful picture that symbolized his love and blessing of the world. Within the world, God first created wisdom. Wisdom was created to know of the world while the world was being created in the image and standard of God. Now with the blessings God was giving the earth and showing wisdom the knowledge to know everything, God blessed everything. He blessed the birds in the sky and blessed the fish in the sea. In Genesis, He is satisfied with everything that he has made. In each little place God made, He thought was good. He made this breath-taking garden but did not have anyone to look after this masterpiece. That is when man was created. God made man a little differently than He made the earth and everything else. God made man in his own image, intended man to become rulers, and to protect the world given to them by the Father. God made man intellectual and gave him wisdom. The man that was created was Adam and with this wisdom, he named everything in the garden. God gave him Adam his first...

...vs Young Earth Lee Physical Science March 3, 2012 Introduction Mankind has been giving the nature to explore and search for the beginnings of his existence. The beginnings are most debated over two separate views. The Big Bang Theory and the Six Day Creation have been a battle front for centuries. The “greatest minds in physics,” have pondered the beginning of the universe. Curiosity has led to questions of how the universe began. (LaRocco and Rothstein) Most scientists would teach that the earth has always been in existence. The debates focus either from a religious point of view or a secular or worldly point of view. These two thoughts will be compared and discussed in this paper. The Big Bang Theory The people who believe this theory think the universe began because of a large explosion. Many scientists teach this Big Bang happened some 15 Billion years ago. This event was an explosion “filling all of space with all of the particles of the embryonic universe.” (LaRocco &Rothstein) This theory is about ridiculous, because it is not really plausible to believe anything it states. How can an empty earth just happenstance into existence? This is exactly why they call it a theory. There is no evidence anywhere to prove this theory. Six-Day Creation While there are many people who believe in the evolution of the universe, there are believers that follow the Biblical creation model. To these people, the creation took God only six...

...made to the age of the earth and the creation of man. The structure is described in the Bible as God created it; however, it describes the earth before the six days of creation. When thinking about the integration of evolutionary principles, as far as the scientific laws are concerned, there is no difference between the origin of the earth and all of its life. Could the Big Bang theory have happened? The Gap Theory, everything made out of nothing. Is the Gap Theory real? Luther sided with the Bible and creation, is his blessing relevant today? Was the earth created out of nothing, no previous atoms did God use? God created the heavens and the earth in six days so we had the seventh day for Shabbat. The Progressive Creation explains the Genesis flood and the six days of creation. So the question is could God really have created everything in six literal days? If so, where did the origins of life come from; and what about the Law of Nature, their survival of the fittest? How big is the rift between the evolutionist and the creationist? Can we trust the Bible to tell us the truth? These are the questions that I will be looking for an answer to. In evolution and creation of religious idea about how the Earth came into existence? “In America alone, the conservative number of scientists who believe in creation is more than 10,000.” Both creation and evolution offer a belief system; both use the same information to present their view of the origins of the earth. “Creationists maintained...

...“If a Christian wants to know God’s will, he turns to the Bible. If a Christian wants to discern from right and wrong, he turns to the Bible.” (Why Should the Bible be our source for morality). “God also expects his children to live in the light, serving as light in a dark world.” (Weider & Gutierrez, 2014, p. 171). To live according to God’s rule is to strive to live in the realm of light, being good to yourself and others alike. We are all born inherently good due to God’s image, “Since it is written, “You shall be holy for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16, KJV). In the end it is up to our own faith and reasoning to determine our moral character through our lives being mindful of deceit and people straying from the path. “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (1 Corinthians 15:33, KJV). The Question of Destiny The Christian worldview stands steadfast in the belief in life after death. In Christianity heaven is a place for the pure of spirit and hell is reserved for the evil of man. Man’s destiny through God has been predetermined and yet we can still alter what will happen to us after death by our own actions. “To be alive as a human being with indescribable mysteries at every turn, and to have in front of us an eternal destiny of spectacular glory or inexpressible horror is a weight that can either press you down with Word count:...
