Ever since 19 Kids and Counting was canceled, the fans have the show have been rallying together to try to do what they can to get the show back on. The show was canceled due to the Josh Duggar scandal, but the viewers still want updates from the rest of the family of 19 Kids and Counting. Design & Trend is now sharing that it is possible that 19 Kids and Counting could end up getting a renewal if the special Jill & Jessa Counting On does well for TLC.

The show 19 Kids and Counting was actually canceled four months ago. Since then, the only time the Duggar family has been seen on television is when they have done small updates that are more like commercials. Now starting on December 13, they will air three specials. Instead of calling them 19 Kids and Counting, they are calling it Jill & Jessa: Counting On. This special is supposed to be all about Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, but the previews for the show have already showed that Anna Duggar will be on it as well. Basically, it sounds like everyone could be on the show except for Josh …show more content…
Of course, TLC wants to find a way to get some of that income back and the Duggars lost money as well. They are going to want to get that back as well. The Duggars will be coming back to television regardless, but at this time it is unknown if it will just be for the specials.

There are people who want the Duggars to return, but others are totally against 19 Kids and Counting coming back. A new Facebook page called Take the pledge Boycott all Discovery channel is speaking out and wants everyone to avoid anything that has to do with the Duggars. Here is what the page explains.

...they are a family of twenty- two members that have a reality show on the TLC network. This family is extremely original, considering they have nineteen children. The grandmother lives with the family as well. The faith of this family regulates everything they do, and every decision they make. They have a strong belief that God is the ultimate deciding factor on how many children Michelle Duggar has. They raise their children to respect the precept of their faith, in hopes they will become adults following the same standards. There oldest son is the only one who has moved out and is going in the same direction with his family. The theoretical approach that best helps to understand how this family works is the structural- functional analysis. Socialization in the Duggar home is close knit and usually consist of the interactions with one and other and only a few others that share the same believes. This family home schools their children to maintain the strong values they live by. I wouldn’t say they are sheltered but rather...

Item Analysis

...Item Analysis Item Analysis allows us to observe the characteristics of a particular question (item) and can be used to ensure that questions are of an appropriate standard and select items for test inclusion. Introduction Item Analysis describes the statistical analyses which allow measurement of the effectiveness of individual test items. An understanding of the factors which govern effectiveness (and a means of measuring them) can enable us to create more effective test questions and also regulate and standardise existing tests. There are three main types of Item Analysis: Item Response Theory, Rasch Measurement and Classical Test Theory. Although Classical Test Theory and Rasch Measurement will be discussed, this document will concentrate primarily on Item Response Theory. The Models Classical Test Theory Classical Test Theory (traditionally the main method used in the United Kingdom) utilises two main statistics - Facility and Discrimination. * Facility is essentially a measure of the difficulty of an item, arrived at by dividing the mean mark obtained by a sample of candidates and the maximum mark available. As a whole, a test should aim to have an overall facility of around 0.5, however it is acceptable for individual items to have higher or lower facility (ranging from 0.2 to 0.8). * Discrimination measures how performance on one item correlates to performance in the test as a whole. There should always be some correlation between item and test performance...

Pay Student Athletes

...Vishal Patel English 104 April 26, 2012 Pay Student Athletes The word student-athlete refers to a student who is playing a sport in college and receiving scholarships in return. On the surface, most people sees great athletes getting a free education, but they deserve more than just free education such as extra rewards and benefits since the college, the conferences and the NCAA are making billions of dollars off of them. To be in a nationally televised game or making deep runs in tournaments can bring in a lot of money for the colleges and universities. But the colleges and the sponsors collect all of the profits and not a single penny goes to the student-athlete and that is unfair. Colleges and the NCAA are making these students basically their unpaid employees. The student-athlete put so much work into the current sport they are playing, in return they get nothing. In my opinion, the student athletes should get a stipend with the scholarship they are getting. The system of college sports is at fault; the student-athletes are making colleges and private companies billions of dollars while not getting anything for themselves. People do not see that the student-athletes have to go practice every day and only have a little time to study. According to Amy McCormick, a law professor at Michigan State, "Athletes don't have free choice of what major they take if the classes conflict with practice schedules. That’s one fact that flies in the face of the idea that they're primarily...

...each in sales and 6% to 7% of the market. The three YUM! Brands restaurants in the top 20 (Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, and KFC) ranked sixth, seventh, and ninth individually. Together their sales totaled $16.7 billion, or 12% of the market, and placed YUM! Brands in second place behind McDonald’s. The restaurants in our analysis represent several different segments of the fast food market including burgers (McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Sonic, and Dairy Queen), sandwiches (Subway), snacks (Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts), Mexican food (Taco Bell), pizza (Pizza Hut and Domino’s), and chicken (KFC).4 The number of U.S. locations of these twelve restaurants totaled almost 100,000 and ranged from approximately 3,500 Sonic restaurants to almost 24,000 Subway restaurants. These twelve restaurants comprised 41% of locations for the top 50 restaurants. Fast food segment Table 2 presents 2008 and 2009 sales data for the twenty largest fast food restaurants in the United States and highlights the twelve restaurants included in our full analysis. In addition to the ten restaurants with the highest sales in 2008 and 2009, we have also included Domino’s and Dairy Queen in our analysis due to the large number of TV advertisements seen by children for these restaurants. In 2008, Domino’s ranked ninth in the amount of TV advertising seen by children, Arby’s ranked tenth...
