Science makes no bones about first study of ostecyte cultures on the Space Station called Space X.
Most of the articles were about new forms of technology being developed by scientists. The one I chose was about new development on microgravity effects on bone cell. The Ostecyte and Mechano-transduction (Osteo-4) has an investigation team that has been analyzing the effects of microgravity on different types of bone cells. These types of scientific studies and results derived from different studies that have implications for patients in treatment with bone disorders related to disuse or immobilization, as well as metabolic diseases such as osteoporosis. They are investigating how ostecyte-the most abundant cells in adult skeleton – both sense and respond to changes in mechanical forces, as achieved aboard the space station called Space X.
This is being done by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grantee Paola Divieti Pajevic, MD., PH.D., leads up the team that examines the functions and behavior of isolated ostecyte in microgravity to determine how they may contribute to the observation of the decline bone density within the crew members. They are trying to figure out the effects of the treatments that are being done they are trying to figure out the bone loss in extreme conditions of space that would allow them to figure out how they can make more bone or counteract the bone loss within the astronauts that they are treating. Some treatments have shown that the research team uses samples from a specific line of bone cells that come from mice and mimic human bone ostecyte in gene expression. Gene expression is the process in which information programmed in a gene is used to direct the assembly of a protein molecule, which then helps carry out the instructions given to the cells for its role. The team will try to isolate the genetic signals changed in the cells once exposed to microgravity. The whole test is to study the effects of microgravity and what part it plays in helping the scientists to determine what effects it will have on the cells for those suffering with osteoporosis. It also allows them to see what type of new experiments they can perform with microgravity. Hopefully these experiments will give them new leads for making new medicine and treating diseases such as Osteoporosis and bone density.
Reading other articles on different studies for what NASA is doing in outer space like making new discoveries with renewable propane, Italian espresso makers, and Electrical control of Quantum bits in silicon that is helping to pave the way to new large Quantum Computers. All of the new studies are being done on Space X which is the supply ship. They are discovering new things that will help us make new leaps within science. Today is just the start of helping society become a new and more powerful source of raw material with new sources of different energy and a vast plain of new technology for the twentieth century. The articles themselves show use were we are making new discoveries and how good our testing under different conditions such as microgravity is coming along we are experiencing difficulties in certain areas but we are progressing in other areas. The articles that were wrote to be informative about the new discoveries in science and the documentation was written well the discussions were very detailed. Detailed enough to inform the world about what the new discoveries within science is going to bring about. The new changes are going to give us a leap into the future for mankind.
