After watching “How to Start a Speech” I thought he did a great keeping the audience’s attention. He walked around he used hand gestures; he said jokes to make them laugh to keep them entertained. At the beginning he introduced himself and summarized what he was going to be speaking about. He also gave examples of what not to say starting off a speech. Also he gave them tips on how to start their speech. One thing I noticed he said that “there are more people alive on the planet today than has ever died” I didn’t think that sounded right so I searched it, I found out it was not true. I believe when giving a speech you should provide the audience with the truth. The presenter spoke clearly and after saying something he would stop to let the audience take in what he said. The only thing I did notice was he touched his nose a few times but other than that he did a great job.

After watching the “Grammar and Paraphrasing” video the first thing I noticed was she did not know how to get the PowerPoint up and running. Then she drank water and was checking her phone. She did not intrude herself at the beginning and she read everything straight from the power point. When presenting a PowerPoint or a speech its best to memorize everything so you can look at the audience and make eye contact and only look at the power point to refresh your memory. Her body language was horrible, she had her arms crossed with had me feeling like she did not care. Instead of crossing her arms she could have moved them and had hand gestures. The power point was hard to read due to the small text and the back ground color. She did not give the audience time to ask questions, one person was asking a question and she completely ignored him and kept reading from the power point. If she would have made more eye contact and used hand gesture and would’ve let the audience ask questions I believe her pretention would have come out better and would have kept the attention of the audience.

Sales of the funky blanket with sleeves were expected to reach as high as 20 million units in just the second year the cozy accessory was available. Combined with the 5 million blankets sold in the first year, that volume will bring the value of total retail sales of the Snuggie to more than $300 million. That’s a respectable profit for an inexpensive product whose unique design and ungainly shape have made it the butt of YouTube parodies and late-night talkshow jokes.
