Four Days of Schooling A lot of work places are starting to shorten their number of days that they are giving to their employees. This means for a lot of them that they get to work for only four days. Schools are also starting to consider shortening their school week to four day. Most students go to school but really dislike how much time that they spend there, and a four day school week would help them in this fact. Students would prefer to have a longer weekend, but to have that would mean the students would have to give up something else. Here are the pros and the cons of having a four day school week. One of the pros to having a shorter week at school is that you get a longer weekend. Many students would like to have a longer weekend so that they can have more time away from the prison of which many call school. There are many thing that a student can then do on the weekends like practice for a school sport instead of being in school for most of the day doing things the student finds boring. The time spent at school would be shorten in the eyes of the student, since it would mean that only four of the seven days of the week are spent at school. …show more content…
If the school week was shortened by one day then the school would have to add the time given by the extra day to the four days that are still school days. That means two extra hours for the student to be in class. This would cut into the athletic students’ practices after school or that the students would not be home till really late in the day, since after school practice would start at five instead of three. This would be hard on the player of the sport, but with the extra day off of school the coaches could use that day for a majority of the students’ practice time, so an easy

There are many reasons that some schools might use the four day school day school week but it might hurt the school more than it would help. School days will be longer to make up for the day that is lost to make a three day weekend. The four day school week will mess up many things with a regular school day, some of these will be longer classes, sports at a later time, makes less time for kids to do their homework, and go longer into the summer.. The longer classes are to make up the day that was lost for the three day weekend. They could have an earlier start time to make it to where the school would still end at three o'clock. Secondly with the longer classes will make sports go later on into each evening. This gives less time for kids to do their homework or any chores that they have to do at the end of the day and after school. Kids will have to go more weeks in the school year because it is required for all students to go 180 days for a school year. This will cut into families summer plans. When 2,700 schools were polled 67% said that it was...

Profile of Working Students and It' S Implication on Academic Standing

...CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION Not all people are given the chance to have a quality education especially in the Philippines because it is now complicated. That’s why having the chance to study and choosing the course should not be compared to some thing like for an example buying a dress for a special occasion and when realization comes into your mind that you don’t want it, you’ll return it or maybe get your money back. No, this isn’t right, because in college life, you have to treat every second as an important detail of your life. You should not waste every moment in it. So choosing the course which you think fits your capabilities is very important. Studying a specific course in college is not only about paying the fees rather the most important things here are the time and effort spent. Money, time and effort are the most precious things in one’s life and once it is used or spent, it’s hard to gain again or worst you may never have it at all. So the time these are wasted for nothing, for sure the blame for this mistake will be felt truly. When looking at the profile of those students who are working and at the same time is studying, you would notice that they never dare wasting their time. For them, every second counts. Make an observation and you will find out that almost all of the working students are working too hard to finish their studies. For them, wasting their effort, time and money is such a big mistake. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY The objective of studying...
