In-depth qualitative interviews are conducted to get a clearer picture of the motives behind sending out expatriates, the selection procedures and training programs of each airline. Also to find out the role HR department plays towards the preparation of expatriates and their adjustment abroad. Another aim is to tackle any obstacles expatriates face, and determine their degree of significance, hence, draw some conclusions to ease the transition and the whole expatriation journey for the manager and the family involved.
