This quote shows hoe Sage is changing. She can’t continue to go against her own beliefs for someone she can’t even walk out in public with. When you really love someone it feels like your entire world revolves around that one person. You forget about everyone and anything else. Adam has a loving wife and kids already and Sage knows that. For a period of time she was too in love with him to admit she was wrong for being with him. Sage makes up all these excuses in her head just to feel less guilty about what’s going on, even though she knows deep down that she’s in the wrong. What Sage doesn’t realize is that her biggest enemy is herself. It’s like a bully for instance. It’s their lives that really suck. The bully is the one hurting inside.
