The acid based chemicals singed as the dark cloaked nuns disinfected my wounds and carefully placed the ghost white bandages on my battered leg. After attending to my wounds they began to pace the room, their large black cloaks sweeping the dust from the floor like a broom as they walked. The room lined with metal bed frames reminded me of a hospital, yet appeared incongruous with the black cloaked characters that were circling my bed. I must have fallen asleep for some time but recall waking to the chatter of young children that gave a melodious sound. Miraculously my leg wounds had healed and I was able to move from my bed and follow the sound of their little voices. Their voices were coming from what appeared to be a large dining room next door. As soon as the children saw me, their cutlery and jaws dropped simultaneously and silence filled the room.

The children resumed to eat with watchful glances as the nuns began to whisper the story .It went like this. A meteor had hit earth with few survivors remaining.
