Argument (Marigolds/The Walking Boy)

The character that was in the most wrong was the boy that never threw rocks at Jeff , and never stopped his friends from doing it in The Walking Boy. The boy who never threw rocks at Jeff was a bystander. In The Walking Boy , it says in the text, “It’s bad to call a boy Nigger Jeff, but worse still to call him just Nigger”(Jacobs). I decided to point this out because the conflict in this story is Jeff being discriminated and treated differently from everyone else because of his skin color. Another piece of evidence was, “A name counts for something”(Jacobs). Jeff can’t do anything about it so when the boy doesn’t stop his friends from throwing rocks at him, Jeff just keeps getting hurt for a reason that
