It is hard to diagnose what is wrong with a bird, especially if it is not a localised illness, as all the symptoms are pretty similar. However, common ones include a change in the birds behaviour, such as resting on a perch with both feet, and being quiet than usual or appearing drowsy and listless. The bird may also draw its head back into its chest or under its wing and have partially closed eyes, and not appear alert. The sick bird may also have ruffled feathers and shiver with outstretched wings on the floor of the cage. If the bird shows any signs of sickness, it should be isolated in a warm environment (30 degrees) to be observed, and a vet should also be consulted for a proper diagnosis.
