How often do we look at drawn art; billboards, bumper stickers, comics in the paper, adverts, the list goes on and on. Now think about how many of these things are trying to influence you, one way or another. Every single one. Commercials trying to get you to buy this or that, most are just garbage products getting dressed up by the marketing department. How many of those actually support a worthy cause? Most are trying to get you to buy this or that; I recently stumbled upon an unknown artist who has gotten me to think about how my actions are hurting this planet and its inhabitants.
Since I know nothing about this artist or why they made this art I can only assume that they drew this for other people to see, possibly to be printed in a magazine or tabloid. Plants, such as trees bushes and the like, get eaten by herbivores or omnivores. Herbivores and omnivores by carnivores. And we eat anything and everything in-between, but without plants which we thoughtlessly cut down and plow over nothing will survive. Theodore Roosevelt once said “A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” I cannot agree enough with Mr. Roosevelt. Besides the fact that having a barren wasteland for a home planet probably isn’t the best, having a populace that treats nature badly treats its animals badly and those types of people are not the kind you want to have.
