Regardless of what you see or what he sees, this piece of evidence in my opinion is very persuasive toward the audience. It persuades the audience to look at how they are parenting their children and how they can improve when it comes to parenting skills. Most of Sasse's argument is an Anecdote, which means he shares his personal experiences by using this device he is appealing to Ethos. This is because of how he asks questions in his article that refer to parent's responses. I think this Appeal helps his argument but it also hurts it because it talks about his story of how back in 1985 he got up at 5 in the morning to go pick corn in the fields but it also mentions his opinions on how parents are parenting today these are all positive things
