“A Sacred Connection to the Sun” is an essay written by Joy Harjo. In the essay, Harjo tries to accentuate on the deep relationship that the sun has with earth. The author reminds her audience that all human beings are connected as one on this beautiful earth. The author recalls how people show disrespect the sun forgetting that it is the one that illuminates their path on earth. According to the author people are supposed to respect the sun just as they respect their grandfathers.
