A team is defined as a small number of people with complementary skills who work together for a common purpose (Lehman & DuFrene, 2013)

Creating a team is not only a matter of just putting people to work together. It is matter of identifying persons with complementary skills (Lehman & DuFrene, 2013). It is said that members need direction thus, identifying leadership is also crucial in the pursuing a goal. Leadership may serve as an avenue to keep all the member’s efforts well canalized, centralized and coordinated. It may also serve as a useful moderator to easily determine roles and responsibilities among team members. A quick evaluation of the existing organization is critical to a new leader's success. In addition to ending the suspense for team members, it is essential to know the strengths of existing team members and to determine that everyone is in the right role to leverage their strengths and interests (Willenwater & Kaelin, 2008)

A Group must go through a developmental process to begin to function as a team. Members need training is such areas as problem solving, goal setting, and conflict resolution (Lehman & DuFrene, 2013)

Some are the major strengths or advantages of working as a team that would translate into a more successful achievement of organization’s objectives.

Working as a team minimizes the need of direct supervision. Team members are self guided, every member collaborate with their unique skills making the outcome expected more integral.

Morale is improved as members of a team once an atmosphere of trust has been created, experiment a high feel of happiness. Team members tend to work in a more cohesive way, at the time that they develop a sense of true belonging to the organization that allows them to subordinate their personal interests to the ones of the organization as a
