ABSCAM is a Federal Bureau Investigation sting operation from an investigation in 1978. The investigation of an ABSCAM consisted of people getting arrested for stolen painting, stolen jewelry, and fake securities. The ABSCAM organized the crime undercover it was elected among the local, state, and national levels. The short word for ABSCAM was Arab Scam. The ABSCAM first major sting became a media story that led to the movie American Hustle.

Michael Myers admitted to the Federal Bureau Investigation operation that he was taking the money as a gift but, his payment did not constitute bribery, because he never made any good promises to help get the Arab business executives. The judge was honored on Michael Myers video footage showed by Myers. The jury shows on the video how he was accepting five thousand dollars and then Michael came by asking the ABSCAM for more. The House of Representative voted three hundred seventy-six to thirty to expel Myers from Congress.
At the trail the Congressman, John W. Jenrette, Jr, showed the judge a bride, he than later told the judge a joke that he had pinching in his blood.
