Acbsp Accreditation

ACBSP accreditation is an important and beneficial asset to my future, and also in my current career. I hope it will help me with other employment opportunities or potential advancement in my current position, if need be. First of all, the accreditation helps programs remain relevant in the field that the students are training in. I have gone on several interviews in my career and one of the questions I’ve been asked nearly every time is, “what do you do to stay relevant in your area of work?” By telling them I have participated in a school that achieves ACBSP accreditation, it gives me a possible advantage over someone who might not have this feature. Attending a school and program that provides the latest in software, equipment and other various learning resources has many advantages as well. This is a “no brainer.” I think I can speak for any student or possible employer when I say that having access to the most up-to-date materials is crucial when you are preparing high quality students for the work force. The pursuit of accreditation from the school enhances the quality of the education we are receiving. It keeps faculty members relevant through training courses, which trickles down and benefits students, which benefits the work force the students are entering, which benefits the community as a whole. It’s a synergic relationship. By giving the work force quality students, it draws future students into the process as well.
Accreditation status helps me reaffirm my decision to go to Cardinal Stitch. It is legitimate and tangible proof that the school is doing all it can to produce students that are high quality. Going to a school that has current student services available to me and a faculty that is trained with the latest measurements of study are all of great value to me. I feel as though I am receiving an education that will benefit me

For example, the services an institution offers, staff to patient ratios, medical equipment used (technological resources), utilizing best practices that aims to reduce patient outcomes and cost, these factors may all contribute to higher standards thus validating accreditation. Healthcare organizations are prone to medical errors, as seen in the Virginia Mason Case. Although medical errors may occur, continuous quality improvement efforts seek to ensure medical errors of the same nature do not occur repetitively. “Hospitals deliver a number of reports on quality of care to accrediting bodies and independent agencies for quality recognitions and ratings so managed care companies, CMS, and the public have reliable information to judge the quality of care” (2014). The Joint Commission

...stakeholders, such as the ACP, the AMA, the AHA, and the CMA, join to create the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAH). This organization serves to provide voluntary accreditation for health care agencies. This accreditation system inspires health care organizations to “provide safe and effective health care of the highest quality and value” (The Joint Commission, 2013, para. 3). Therefore, by evaluation and accreditation of more than 20,000 health care organizations, JCAHO is the nation’s oldest and largest accrediting agency in health care. Thus, to earn and maintain JCAHO’s “Golden Seal” of approval, an organization must submit to an on-site survey every three years. Structure and Role The source of JCAHO’s authority comes from a government of 32 members on the Board of Commissioners. Among the members are administrators, physicians, nurses, quality experts, educators, and labor representatives. These members bring a diversity of experience in public policy, business, and health care. The Joint Commission’s scope of service includes the active monitoring of regulatory activities to identify opportunities for improvement, accreditation, and certification. This service provides a standard of quality, thus improving health care for the public (Fremgen, 2012). Additionally, recognition and certification through The Joint Commission may include the use of accreditation for...
