Puto is the Filipino term for “Rice Cake” cooked by steaming. It is usually eaten as a merienda or snack. Puto can be eaten for breakfast with coffee or hot chocolate but it is also best compliment for dinuguan or pork blood stew. Malunggay or Moringa Oleifera is called a miracle tree due to its nutrient content. Moringa leaves contains: seven times of vitamin C in oranges, four times of calcium in milk, four times of vitamin A in carrots, two times of protein in milk and three times of potassium in bananas. Furthermore, dalandan is a member of the sweet orange species of the citrus family, so it is high in vitamin C, to help our immune system. In addition, the fact that malunggay grows well in the Philippines. It is easy to obtain this kind of vegetable and you can plant it anywhere. Malunggay is considered as one of the healthiest vegetable which is always available in all year around. Aside from that we can always just get it for free. This study is all about the acceptability of Puto Malungdan to the TVE and TLE teachers as developed food product for cooking class reference in DepEd high schools in Marilao. Technical Vocational Education and Technology Livelihood Education is a subject that specializes in providing students with vocational education and technical skills. The Assemblywoman Felicitas G. Bernardino Memorial Trade School offers a curriculum called Technical Vocational Education for grade 8, grade 9 and grade 10 students while in Prenza National High School their curriculum is Technology Livelihood Education for grade 9 and grade 10 students both schools are cooking class.
