...Recognized Courses in Accounting/Tax Research and Analysis and Accounting/Business Communications September 3, 2014 The Texas State Board of Public Accountancy requires each candidate to complete a minimum of two semester hours in accounting research and analysis or tax research and analysis from a recognized college or university. The semester hours may be obtained through a discrete course or offered through an integrated approach. If the course content is offered through integration, the college or university must advise the Board which course(s) contain the research and analysis content. Courses identified through integration must dedicate 1 semester hour, or quarter hour equivalent, to research and analysis. Courses used to meet this requirement may not be used to meet the requirement for accounting or business communications described below. Course(s) identified by a university to meet the requirements for research and analysis in accounting or taxation should primarily address the identification, organization, and integration of diverse sources of information such as authoritative literature and pronouncements, to reach a conclusion or make a decision; and should analyze accounting and taxation issues by reviewing information, using empirical data and analytical methods, recognizing data in patterned activities, forecasting, and integrating data. CPAs may be asked to conduct research and analysis when providing attest services, professional accounting...

... SUBMITTED TO: SUBMITTED BY: Ms. Kuljeet kaur Vanita B40 INTRODUCTION A nanowire is an extremely thin wire with a diameter on the order of a few nanometres (nm) or less, where 1 nm = 10 -9 meters. Two processes in nanotechnology by which nanowires can be manufactured are suspension and deposition. Fields expected to benefit from nanotechnology include water purification, sanitation, agriculture, alternative energy (particularly photovoltaics), home and business construction, computer manufacturing, communications, and medicine. Vertically oriented 1-D nanowire growth. Directed growth is a critical challenge for the practical design of nanowire-based electronics. At the ACNT, we have developed a synthesis technique in which the one-dimensional nanowires are epitaxially grown in the vertical direction. A large array of vertical nanowires can find many applications in next-generation nanoelectronics. For a logic chip for computing, these vertically free-standing nanowires are used as channel materials of MOS transistors. Examples include 3-D integration of CMOS logic gates (see Figure 2). With a surrounded gate architecture, these tiny transistors offer great scalability due to superior control of short-channel effect and leakage, providing the ideal device architecture for sub-10nm CMOS. The nanowires may also serve as interconnects and other electronic components such as diodes or resistors, making an ultra-compact...

What is the goal of this communication? 2. Please refer to the information in Lesson 4. Conduct a brief audience analysis. Invent any information you feel is necessary to make the scenario complete. How will this analysis help you shape your message? 3. Considering your purpose and audience, what is the best channel for this communication? 4. Write a brief summary of your client’s current situation, including relevant facts and all issues involved. You can also use this summary in your final draft. 5. Please refer to the information in Lesson 6. Identify at least one specific source you will use in your research. 6. Please refer to the information in Lesson 5. Based on the prewriting steps you have taken in 1-6, how you will organize your document? Will you use a direct or indirect strategy? Write a brief outline. Part Two – Final Draft Write a response to your client, Mr. Young. Remember to focus on the information that will benefit your reader. Emphasize the “you” view. ** In this situation, presumably you are a paid advisor. As a professional, you will need to summarize your findings in your own words and in a way that specifically addresses your client’s situation. This is what he is paying you to do. Do not copy large passages from your sources, even if you give proper credit ** Instructions Create your two-part assignment...

...alone, I concluded that he is alone and possibly has been feeling lonely. When the video goes on he goes to a diner where he meets people with friendly expressions (ends up leaving with one). While watching the music you learn that the older man could be possibly be dealing with depression but realizes that you can still find happiness. For example, as he gets a ride back home he finds a polaroid camera in the stranger’s car. Curious on how it works he starts playing with it. Once he gets home he poses in front of the same gazebo that the original picture of the younger woman and him were in. This shows continuity in the video because both pictures connect eventually to the overall theme of the video. Without noticing the beginning scenes you acnt make a connection at the end. Sherlock Jr. is a masterpiece in editing. The level of editing was limited in the 1920s because of all the necessary labor put in to piece together all of the pieces of film from all the scenes and shots. Also parallel editing was very clear throughout the film as well, when Keaton daydreams at work, Kathryn was trying to figure out who stole the watch. You can understand from the scene, Sherlock is doing his job as a film projectionist and he slowly drifts away into a dream. The use of clever editing showed Sherlock's "conscious body" slowly peel away from the real body. This informs the audience that we are now stepping into a dream world. The use of continuity editing creates a more organized way for the...
