Nowadays the poor image many bureaucracies have can be associated with the lack of caring for public opinion, which facilitates the growing distrust with these organizations. In his book William Pierce writes corruption is a traditional complaint about bureaucracies, and most federal bureaucracies in this country have reduced illegal behavior to a relatively unimportant problem (pg 111).
