...Application Letter April 14, 2006 Mr. Dominico Chua Employment Manager MILY Corporation 13764 Linda Blair Roanoke, VA 24019 chua@mily.com Dear Mr. Chua: From your company's web site I learned about your need for a sales representative for the Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina areas. I am very interested in this position with MILY’s, and believe that my education and employment background are appropriate for the position. While working toward my master's degree, I was employed as a sales representative with a small dairy foods firm. I increased my sales volume and profit margin appreciably while at Farmer's Foods, and I would like to repeat that success in the pharmaceutical industry. I have a strong academic background in biology and marketing, and think that I could apply my combination of knowledge and experience to the health industry. I will complete my master's degree in marketing in mid-May and will be available to begin employment in early June. Enclosed is a copy of my resume, which more fully details my qualifications for the position. I look forward to talking with you regarding sales opportunities with MILY’s. Within the next week I will contact you to confirm that you received my email and resume and to answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Jhames Bond Sales Letter Digital Product # 457 Ayala St. Makati City July 15, 2007 Dr. Jean Sasan School Administrator Saint jean College Pasay City Dear Dr...

...High School Reflection High School Reflection My high school experience was good and bad at the times. What I enjoyed the most from high school were the classes and the teachers in the classes. My moments are not a lot because I really don’t talk in class; I just try not to get attention on myself. My moments were mostly just times in class when I was with friends working together and getting to know each other while talking. Another moment that I would remember would be how everybody makes fun of each other, even the teachers. What I least enjoyed from high school were the people that were doing bad things to eat. How they wanted to destroy the school by burning, littering, and graffiti. Another thing that I didn’t like was how some teachers teach their lessons in class, they teach one way that you would understand but then give something hard. I didn’t like how some people were bothering me during classes about dumb stuff and just didn’t shut up. I also didn’t enjoy the little party festivals that they had during school because they were not that interesting. During my freshman year I came in with a positive attitude to school. Then, after 9th grade I became more of a lazy person and began to lower my grades and got my first F. My 11th grade I was beginning to get my mind straight and tried not to get lower grades. So I would say I changed into a person that I didn’t want to become, a lazy person. Now in my senior year I’m not going to fail because it’s the last chance so...

...“Why Uranium is the New Green” Q1) (a) Sweet supports nuclear energy because it is medically clean, safe, and environmentally friendly. (b) He states that we can’t create more than two plants a year and that they are expensive. (c) He suggests that we need more wind energy to offset costs and pollution. Q2) The most effective arguments he makes for Nuclear energy is how clean and safe the Nuclear Reactors seem to be. Weaknesses in his argument are just the cost of maintaining a nuclear plant is very expensive and they aren’t easy to build. Q3) Sweet seems to be really sold on nuclear and wind energy so much so that he doesn’t seem to see how some of his supports could be disproven. I believe most of what he is telling me but some of his support just sounds like it’s over the top. Especially now with the Japanese incident we see how any nuclear plant, even America’s, could be unprepared for a disaster and won’t seem so safe anymore. Sweet tries to win over the argument by really pushing how clean and safe nuclear and wind energy is and how safe for the environment it is compared to coal. This would most definitely work for many common people just reading this essay; they would probably agree that coal is very dirty and harmful. Q4) Sweet responses very well to this objection by saying that nuclear energy does not in fact produce that much waste and that while a reactor produces 2,000 tons a year in waste that on contrary coal plants produce 2 billion tons of pollution...

...1. Co-operative bank is our first experience with an ABC project applied to a service organization. What new issues arise when applying ABC analysis to a service buisness? We have already applied ABC analysis to Dakota Products which was a player in logistics and home delivery that could be clustered under the service industry head.Co-operative bank is our second experience with the ABC in services The major issues that were apparent in this case that are new are as follows: 1.1. Effects of diversifying the product portfolio:Troubles mounted as the bank could not create the capital supply due to increased capex requirements to support these diversification. Moreover at a later stage under the Project Sabre Terry indicates that the product portfolio was extensively diversified which resulted in lack of focus amongst different product and market niches. 1.2. Effects of legislation-For instance Governement legislation to deregulate the financial sector.Changing competition scenario in UK's financial services market leveraging co-perative service to transform into banks and diversify their product potfolio. 1.3. Customer Expectations:Changing customer expectations and lower switching costs can decrease the existing customer base. Thus the cost structure of the bank has to be leveraged for higher profits at the market costs. This is a perfect competetion case where the markets determine the costs(i.e. price for services) which has to be charged by the banks to sustain. 1...

This prevents further car accidents from happening. 2: No, because there was little to no information to back the argument up. 3: Some changes in the ordinance that might make it a better law would be is if there was more information to back up the ordinance for different scenarios or reasoning. 2. Think Critically About Evidence (pg. 9) 6: Yes, the driver should not have been going as fast as he was and should have been able to stop before hitting someone. 7: You can get a restraining order in order to get the car driver away from you. 8: You can sue the band for the cost it would to book them and then for the estimated amount it would cost to book another band. 9: The end cost of how much it would cost the band to take up the other concert would be less than the total cost of the lawsuit. 3. Difference Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) * Divides the available frequency into non-overlapping bands with guard spaces between to avoid overlapping (adjacent channel interference) * Receiver has to know the frequency to tune Advantage: All the Receivers, such as cellular telephones,do not need to be at same location Disadvantage: Noise problem due to analog signal and wastes bandwidth Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) * Allows access to entire frequency bandwidth but for a limited amount of time * All senders use same frequency in at different time * If two transmissions overlap known as co-channel interference Advantage: Digital Signals Disadvantage: wastes bandwidth Wavelength Division Multiplexing(WDM) * In WDM, all signals will arrive at the same time * WDM takes multiple optical signals, maps them to individual wavelengths, and multiplexes the wavelengths over a single fiber. Advantage: Very high capacities over fiber. Disadvantage: Cost Complexity (B) Differentiate between the two TDM schemes. Synchronous Time Division Multiplexing * Accepts input from attached devices in a round-robin fashion * Transmits data in a never ending pattern ...
