The book's ending was very warm and happy. Adeline won an international writing contest and got praised and acknowledged by her father. To her amazement, her father allowed her to go to college with her brothers. The book ended with an affectionate letter from her Aunt. In the letter it stated that Adeline was never alone, forgotten, unwanted, and unloved because her Aunt and Grandfather was always on her side do their best to guide her. From the start, Adeline was never really alone. Adeline is like a daughter to her Aunt who will always be watching over her. Her Aunt thought of Adeline as a real Cinderella who earned what she deserved.
