Everyday people have a code that they follow on a day to day basis. This code helps them make decisions about their life, careers and family. However, this type of code would only hurt or harm oneself. The medical code of ethics carry much more weight because they are dealing with people’s lives on a daily basis and one mistake could cost someone their life. Code of ethics is a system that applies values and judgments to the practice of medicine. As a scholarly discipline, medical ethics encompasses its practical application in clinical settings as well as work on its history, philosophy, theology, and sociology (American Medical Association, 2011). In this paper we will discuss how the Angelicare In-home Companion encompasses the code of ethics by explaining the organization’s goals, how they tied their goal to their ethical principles. We describe the role and importance of the corporation’s ethical values and what is the relationship between the organization’s culture and ethical decision-making. Is there a social responsibility for the organization in the community. These goals are tied to its ethical principles because they want the best for everyone that is involved. They have goals that support both the workers and the patients. They also respect the patient and do what is needed to be
