Title: Motivation and Work Satisfaction of Employees in Don Bosco College, Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna

Statement of the Problem: To ensure success, companies and schools must have employees who are efficient and productive. It is therefore the function of management or administration to maintain and enhance efficiency and productivity of employees. Doing so requires understanding of motivation and work satisfaction. This research is to be conducted for the better understanding of motivation and work satisfaction of academic teaching, academic non-teaching and non-academic employees of Don Bosco College. After determining the situation of motivation and work satisfaction of employees, recommendations may be given to help promote efficiency and productivity. This research seeks to answer the following questions:

1. What is the demographic profile of employees in terms of:

1. Length of service

2. Salary

3. Age

4. Sex, and

5. Civil status?

1. What is the strength of motivation in terms of the following motivational factors:

1. Comfort and basic needs

2. Safety and security

3. Power

4. Affiliation

5. Achievement and recognition, and

6. Self-actualization and growth?

2. What is the strength of work satisfaction in terms of the aforementioned motivational factors?

3. Is there a significant difference in employee responses on motivation when demographic profile is considered?

4. Is there a significant difference in employee responses on work satisfaction when profile is considered?

5. How does employee responses on motivation and work satisfaction relate to each other?
