On July 13, 2017, the undersigned detective interviewed 17 years old Akili Benjamin with a DOB of 12/05/199. Akili stated that on the day of the incident, he borrowed a cell phone from Elijah to call his mother. Akili stated that after calling his mother, he was going through Elijah's cell phone to see pictures of Elijah's girlfriend. Akili stated that he found a blurry video footage of porn. Akili stated that he couldn't see who's in the video but could hear someone moaning. Akili stated that he and Elijah got in a verbal altercation for him going through Elijah's phone. Akili stated that he left Elijah's phone on the kitchen counter. Eryka took the cell phone and deleted the video footage from Elijah's cell phone.
