wearing beards were common and being clean-shaven was very rare.

The role of men was to basically provide and maintain their family. They were

taught at home first then later at a school then a university. They were taught math,

reading and writing in different languages, law, philosophy, science, and lastly history.

The Victorian Era was a very complex and diverse time period. If you wish to

understand what is now modern day you should study the Victorian Era. In conclusion,

social and economic status affected Victorian England and how the people in that era

lived their lives. Also it had a lot of accomplishments, such as Darwin’s scientific

accolades that affect us and that we still utilize today. Lastly the Victorian Era ended in

1901 which was followed by the Georgian Era.
