In “Allegory of the Cave” by Plato tells the story about the reality that comes forth through knowledge and the willingness for man to seek the truth. The Allegory of the Cave is a deep philosophical scenario that is being described by Plato in a form of a progressive conversation, which begins with Socrates having a factious conversation with is brother. The hypothesis behind his analogy is the essential principles that all we watch are imperfect impression of the conclusive structures, which implies the truth. This is portrayed as glorified feeling of what goodness and justice are. At the point when the prisoners leave the cave, Socrates explain that these are philosopher who have arrived at a comprehension of what life truly is. The three symbols are the cave, the sun, and the chains.
The Allegory of the Cave all through the story the prisoners are restrained to the floor and are not able to move their legs and turn their head to view behind them. They had a fire burning behind them, and they saw shadows of people walking by carrying odd object. These shadows were all they knew they even seemed to be real. The individuals they see are the realities of life. A prisoner breaks free and leaves the cave. When he first walks outside the cave he was blinded by the bright light then he realize it was real life he was facing. It is still relevant to our lives today as life goes on times change and we demonstrate to each other what development we would like in our lives.
The cave is the symbol of darkness and a blank piece of paper. Plato creates a cave in which prisoners are restrained by the chains and forcefully made gaze upon a wall of the cave. The allegory of the cave was about all these people in a cave being fed fake realities and in turn if they ever saw the real world then to them it would probably turn their world upside down. “ Loose another and lead him up to the light, let them only catch the offender, and they would put him to death”(1237). I’m not sure that at some of the conspiracies that people talk about that the government is hiding are true so we are almost like the people in the cave being taught something much different than what is actual real.
The sun symbolizes more than one idea in the story. In spite of the fact that sight and the eye are not the sun itself sight is the most sun like of the faculties by the uprightness of their relationship to one. The sun is the offspring of good or it’s simple. The sun is separated line and the purposeful allegory of the cave which while all concerned with the way of the structures have a tendency to underscore

distinctive part of Plato’s hypothesis. “The light of the the moon and the stars are the spangled heaven; and he will see the sky and the stars by night better than the sun or the light of the sun by day” (1236). The sun was essential in the story in light of the fact that it demonstrates that that prisoners are kept from reality. Plato use the metaphor of the sun as the wellspring of physical light to contrast it with the idea of the good.
The chain symbolizes the mind of every prisoner. At the point when prisoners were discharge from his chains by the liberator who turned into the prisoners companion and instructor the prisoners was to come back to the cave and educate different prisoner of the world and get them to surrender their chains and journey to the sunlight sometimes people like to remain in the dark in their chains and darkened even when someone in life has been through what they are going through. “ To them reality would be literally nothing, but the shadows of the image” (1235). The chains hold them from seeing the light and just seeing the visually impaired doing. “ When he approaches the light his eyes will be blurry and will not be able to see anything at all in reality. “(Peterson). Once Plato’s philosophy face reality in which it made me realize a deeper meaning. The way we see and perceive the world as someone who does not have a clue.
In conclusion Plato’s tell the story about reality that comes forth through knowledge and willingness for man to seek the truth. The hypothesis behind his analogy is the essential principles that all are watch to impress the truth. The three symbols are the cave, the sun and the chain. For whatever reason this limited amount of information can be considered to be a type of ignorance. Last but not least as humans in this world many of us are really blind to what is going on around us. All three symbols symbolize something very important in our lives.
