The attorneys that speak about Alonza suggested that he was charged harshly and should have been dealt differently. But because he was the first juvenile under a new law to commit a crime his case just dealt with any typical superpredator case. The system failed him because the system did not take the time out to fully understand what they were actually doing with Alonza Thomas.
