Introduction My subject, Amalia Arizmendi, was born on July 10 , 1956. Right now she is 59 years old and will turn 60 in 7 months. She had polio as a kid and it crippled her right leg and now she doesn’t have polio ,but her leg still is bad. She lived in Mexico almost all of her life and moved to the U.S. 10 years ago. She was doing pretty good when she was a kid ,but then when she was an adult she was really poor and sometimes she didn’t have enough money to get food and water. She has crutches and she mostly doesn’t walk good because of her right leg. She had 12 kids and four died. She lives with my family and sometimes goes to her daughter’s and son’s house. She said as a kid she would really play a lot above all other things.
