...eventually get on your parent’s nerves and they will discipline you. This is the easiest way to get grounded but it does require some planning. Don’t worry we will eventually get to the crazy part later but for now, just do things like: → Annoying your siblings: This is quite easy. Hide their phone or any other valuable, mess up their closet, or hack their social media account. → Not doing your chores: Stop doing the dishes and throw a tantrum, show signs of not doing your homework or don’t do your laundry → Be late for school around three times in a row since three makes a pattern. Break the Television Set This is one of the harder ways to get grounded but it is the perfect way to ensure absolute hatred from your parents. Why would you do something like this? Because it’s fun. First, get hold of a hard object. Something that will really obliterate the screen into a million pieces. Some good examples include a glass vase, a tennis ball, or your Star Wars lightsaber can also to do the trick. Who thought that was going to be useful in such dire circumstances? Am I right? Next, pick the right time. This is crucial. Timing is everything and if you want to get the absolute best out of this experience, you need to make sure that your parents are hovering around you when you pull this off. Finally, SMASH THE SCREEN! Let that energy out and see your work pay off. Your parents will hate your for some time and now you can work on that paper while you’re grounded. Start missing religious...

...tell Sammy was a young man trying to find his way into society. Sammy was trying to make his lifestyle a bit different from those around him. He was working at the grocery store trying to make his mom and dad proud. Although, Sammy seems a little selfish he was beginning to become someone who could make decisions for himself. When Mr.Lengel approached "Queenie" and the other girls he says "Girls, this isn't the beach". He continues to carry on lecturing the girls about how they needed to be decently dressed when coming into the A&P. However, while Mr.Lengel was making his remarks about Sammy began to show a characteristic of sympathy. A sense of compassion presenting absolute understanding the young girls position. Sammy reaction was nothing unusual from teen today. It was almost as if you mess with one teen you mess with them all. Although to me Sammy seemed to be making his gestures to impress the girls. Sammy does not appear as a male chauvinist. However, he does seem to be exceptionally mannish. The words in which he used to express the young girls gave me a very vivid sight. His descriptiveness of the girls didn't seem repulsive or unsuitable. "A&P" does not come off to be sexist work. He unquestionably had the mind of a typical male. Page 145, Question # 5 – Discuss why Sammy quits his job. What does he mean when he say he recognizes “How hard the world was going to be to me from here on in.” Sammy quits his job to me because of personal...

...The three most important characteristics I look for in a working environment are organization, ability to expand my career, and management. I am a very organized person. I have worked in an environment that was an absolute mess. I was not able to find the correct file easily. It took me a couple months to understand how everything was placed. In an unorganized environment I found my productivity to be very low because I spent most of my time finding the right document instead of working on it. It is very important that I know my career can grow with the company. If I work at places that limit my ability to grow, it lowers my motivation. On the other hand, if the work environment allows me to expand with the company, I would spend more time and try harder to work my best. The last and most important is management of the work environment. Working in a company with poor management would be a disaster. I have had a manager that changed his mind all the time. One day he set up all the rules, and the other day he broke all of them. It is very hard to work with a manager that doesn’t commit to his/her management. Poor management can lead to a lot of issues in work environment. I have never worked at a place that has all of the characteristics above. It would be my ideal work environment if the company is well organized, has the ability to expand my career, and has good management. My current job as an intern in a CPA office gives me the ability to expand my career...

...“Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”(Lord Acton,1887) Power is something only the right person should have, it could turn into an absolute mess if it's not handled correctly. Having power means others look up to you, and you could change the way they see things. This effect a person has on someone could cause dangerous events. It can also cause something really good. Meaning the outcome of having power could be either positive or negative. A person could easily abuse power and think that people won’t retaliate. The book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell is a great example of how power can be abused. Mr.Jones, the owner of Manor Farm is an alcoholic who doesn’t treat his animals right. He sees it as he can do whatever he wants and nothing will happen. The animals decide take the power into their own hands. They are sick and tired of Mr.Jones treating them unfairly so they decide to start a revolution. In the book Mr.Jones comes back to the farm to try and take it back. The animals don't let...

Horace looked at his reflection in the mirror thinking what a sorry mess of a doctor. His left eye was purple and swollen shut, and a deep gash above his lip seemed to give him the impression of a second mouth. He touched it gingerly, he could see his gums and teeth if he pried the wound open. That much was fact ,he could feel the gap on the inside of his mouth with the tip of his tongue. Horace had never struck his wife. Jill abused him continually, moving on to knives and his own scalpels from the work place. Nonetheless, he was too timid and ashamed...

...Dear, Governor Rich Scott Why do you believe that our right are not absolute? It fairly simple, because if each person could do what they pleases, the people rights would interrupted and eventually lead to confusion. The authority must balance separable individual rights with the community virtuous otherwise, general well-being of the good of the people. Whereas, the constitution and the amendment defend the people rights. That allows the authority to pass laws and limits behaviors, as quote in the constitution preamble “establish, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare of the country.” The constitution safeguards and limits individuals rights are both considered to be suitable of the rights and safekeeping for everyone, which include in the legislature, the Bill of Right, court decision and the amendment. An event that occurred in my community, was when the government forced people to evacuate from their homes after a storm has crash in that leaves many family in tears. The Constitutional amendment that relates to that situation is the Fourth amendment because, the fourth amendment protected the people from unnecessary search of their homes without a consent from the judge. Which, make the people feel more protected from the government officials rifling through their homes without a warrant. The argument that could be made for or against the government forcing the people to evacuate their home would be that some of the...

...Anastasia Beverly Hills, a makeup brand known for its incredibly pigmented and stunning shadows, has failed miserably on their recent eyeshadow palette release, Subculture. The palette retails for forty two dollars, and includes fourteen warm-tone shades that are nearly impossible to blend together. While the palette may look beautiful at first sight, the first hit into the pan is an absolute nightmare. Putting a brush to the shadows is the equivalence of dropping a bag of flour. This palette makes a mess. The shadow compounds do not effectively stick to the brush and the fine dust-like particles fall everywhere. Good luck trying to get the shadow to sit on your eyelid; I can assure you that it won’t. Similar to how the makeup won’t stick to the brush hairs, it doesn’t stick to skin either. Additionally, several of the shades are beyond fashion faux pas. There is absolutely no use for a powdery yellow shadow, or a deep teal blue that doesn’t match any of the other shades in the collection. The fact that there are duplicate redundant shades further challenges the rationale of a high price...

I’ve met some great teachers and others, not so great. You may know that growing up isn’t the best experience because sooner or later you’re gonna have way more responsibilities. This is why we should have cherished our younger years in elementary before jumping into middle school and then, a few years later, high school. It’s like seeing a clock saying “Time is ticking, everyone is changing, and your future will be approaching.” Mr. Dima, an absolute trickster. The guy everyone said that you were lucky to have. ...Peter I, also known as Peter the Great, is arguably one of the greatest absolute rulers that ever held power over the country of Russia. This man was able to achieve his goals during his reign despite the problems that he faced. During this time, some basic issues in several European countries included territory, economy, and religion. However, these issues varied depending on which country someone was responsible for. As for Peter the Great, he had to face the Church who held a large power but was not willing to change. Another domestic affair that he tried to tackle was education for the rest of Europe was advancing at a quicker pace than that of Russia. Not only that, there were several prominent wars that were fought while he was in power....

...were making the eight-hour drive to Houston, Texas to say our good-byes, knowing that there would be no tomorrow for my brother. Today, I am always looking at the few photographs I have of us together and sincerely regret not having taken more. I have always been camera shy, but that should not stop anybody from capturing every moment of their lives, good or bad. One day you’ll look back and, no matter how bad it may have seemed at the time, you’re going to wish for that very moment back. One of the few photos I have with my brother is one of him and me in our soccer uniforms sitting on the bench at his soccer game. At the time, I begged my father to delete it because I was as red as my jersey from being sunburned, and my hair was an absolute mess, and my huge, cheesy smile advertised many of my most recent tooth-fairy visits. My father refused, saying that eighty years from...

Fleming seemed intent on blasting his opinion throughout the story without referring to possible explanations for the opposing side and creates an illogical mess. ...A while back it was late night on a friday night, I was out with some friends. Bored out of our minds, we unanimously decided to go to the place that we work at and mess around. Everything was going just fine, we played a game of hide n seek within the pitch black building, we climbed into the trees and atop a storage unit. It felt as though nothing could ruin the night. That was until someone brought out the Go-Kart. We all gathered around like children seeing a magic trick for the first time. This was the point of no return. Naturally, we had decided to all take turns driving it up and down the street. We had helmets, of course, but the kart itself had no breaks, no harness of any sort. no roll cage or anything like that and on top of that, could get speeds of up to 40+ miles per hour. It was only a matter of time before we started...

...I found it interesting to see how the author incorporated this real-life event that happened on October 30, 1938, where H.G Wells did a broadcast on the radio called, “War of the worlds” that caused chaos to break loose. It is important to note that this was just a skit and Martians had never touched earth, so the green person that Dona sees is really a normal New Yorker not an alien. Through the green person making a face when seeing the lentils, the author shows us that people are not willing to try things that they are not used to (Mexican food in this case). Dona informs the green person that the difference in the food in New York and Puebla Mexico may be different, but it is edible and worth a try. This person’s hesitance to even try the food makes Dona feel as though the person is possessed with a demon, because clearly this person is bloated and in need of some food. Due to the panic and store closures this person ends up trying the Mexican food therefore getting a taste of another culture, which is how Dona metaphorically saves the world. Dona in the midst of the chaos is calm and unselfish. She assisted one, but when she seen another she feeds them as well, and it is implied that she continued to feed others, because she ended up saving humanity by incorporating her culture....

Continuing to torture Stu with phone calls, his family and Pamela Stu cannot concentrate nor think of the outcome will be if he obeys the voices commands. Director Joel Schumacher has a brilliant use of camera angle/focus, the type of edits used and incredible camera movements throughout the whole film. Having to time the best sections to use these cinematography scene is a true brutality to the audience. Mr. Schumacher has also directed The Lost Boys, The number 23 and A Time to Kill all of which keep the audience insanely interested on behalf of his thriller designs. Personally Phone Booth and The number 23 are my absolute favorites because of the critical thinking the audience has to do in order to understand Schumacher’s strategy. His wife Kelly Shepard (Radha Mitchell) helps NYPD cop Captain Ramey (Forest Whitaker) understand why Stu will not get out of the booth after being accused, by exotic dancers, of killing their boss in broad daylight.
