I came across this article in the U.S.News website titled “McDonald’s Kale Salad Has More Calories Than a Big Mac.” I few things caught my attention the first thing was that it was in Canada, my homeland, a country known for healthy living and eating. I eat kale on a daily bases and know it is a power food. Fresh kale is rich in minerals and vitamins. So how can this fall from grace be possible? On a closer look the things that are added to the salad are what creates its demise. I think it is a tragedy that you can take something so health and destroy it.
