“I’ll tell you what,” the pirate smiled. “ Pick one member of your crew to take a flogging, and I’ll spare one member of your crew for every lash they take.”
“I’ll do it-” I started to say.
“No, no Captain.” The pirate’s smile broadened. “That wasn’t the deal. I’m not going to break your valuable skin. Pick one. Or I’ll kill them all.”
“Savage, would you mind?” I sighed. If anyone in my crew could take a flogging, it was Savage. Savage stepped forward to the pirate.
“Very good Captain. Now let’s see how many lashes the boy can take.” With that I watched my strongest crew member take lash after lash, saving my crew. The sound of the whip cracking on his back was almost more than I could bear, but I stood strong. After each lash, the pirate pointed to one of my crew and put them on the other side of the ship, indicating that they were safe.
Miraculously, Savage managed to survive enough lashes to save every one of my crew.

The pirate sent his men over and grabbed my arms, ensuring I could not break free of them. Savage tried to get up and free me but the pirate whipped him once more and said, “Sorry, but I need Captain Cora. You have had your turn with her.” “All of Cora’s men are to be escorted back to Cora’s ship,” He said, his voice loud. He had me moved into his dungeon. I waited there for hours, counting the seconds as the went by. We had been sailing for some time when I heard the anchor splash into the sea. A few moments later, the pirate who had whipped my baby brother appeared before my
