In A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, the main character, Meg Murry, develops into a strong, independent person.
At the beginning of the novel, Meg is an insecure person and no one really likes her or her little brother. On pages 8-9 in the book it says “That morning one of her teachers said crossly, “Really Meg, I don't understand how a child with parents as brilliant as yours are supposed to be such a poor student.
