Sigurd Paragraph I believe Sigurds most important quality in Sigurd, the Dragon Slayer,by Olivia Coolidge, is courage, because he was able to find what others couldn’t and slay the dragon. Sigurd states, “I will win my own wealth and fame”(Coolidge 5). He did not want to be known for his father being the great fighter. Sigurd wanted to be remembered as himself, being the brave fighter. Sigurd states, “I will slay the dragon”(Coolidge 6). This shows his courage because he was willing to risk his life just to slay a dragon and get Regin his treasure. He wanted to be brave and become famous for his actions. Sigurd hears someone say, “See how the hero, Sigurd, sits roasting Fafnir’s heart”(Coolidge 10). People recognize Sigurd as a hero
