In 2004 The Atlantic published a review written by Christopher Orr of the comedy Somethings Gotta Give. The review immediately opens with a remark stating this film is disappointing. After Orr’s remark to make Something Gotta Give the most unappealing movie he turns his focus on comparing this it to other movies such as The Player, Terms of Endearment and Annie Hall. His comparisons are about battle of the sexes and the cliché of older women and young men and vice versa. He states the movie has no surprises claiming the audience knows what is going to happen next.
