What I really don’t understand, but I find interesting is the fact why they relied on their masculinity so much by thinking just because you have money any girl would fall before your feet. I understood money gives you power, but think about it again Gus seemed arrogant about it than Pablo, although both had been so in love with the money just felt that it was a too naïve of them to just think money buys everything but, then again, it all paid off till they were swept off the streets by the police and lost most of their profits, which became a major change of events because not only did it drive them out of the crack game it just became worse for them as they struggle to make up the money that was made when they sold drugs and guns. To be honest, after reading both chapters 4 and 5, it became very clear, sometimes after you made a certain amount of money and lose it by getting taken off the streets and coming back to the neighborhood from jail to make money all over again makes me wonder now why Gus and Pablo did it, they just couldn’t bear to be broke, they needed to hustle no matter what drug even if it failed till it made sense to quit the drugs and just stick to robbery because what better way than to make money is by stealing it from others to not lead any suspicions …show more content…
The argument basically presents the idea on how girls and boys are socially presented and what is their role supposed to be in society.
