The location of the game is based on a post-apocalyptic United States. The game follows our main protagonist Joel who is a “black market dealer within the quarantine zone, selling drugs and weapons of sorts” (IGN). He is tasked with smuggling Ellie, a young girl, to a group called the Fireflies in order to find a cure to put an end to the infection. The main antagonists of the video game are zombies. They are cannibalistic creatures that were infected by a mutation of the Cordyceps fungus.

This stage happens around a week or month after being infected and can last for a few years. The last type are Clickers. Clickers faces are completely taken over by the fungus. It takes up to 2-4 years for the zombie to reach this stage. At this stage, the zombies have a strength that surpasses an average human, making them the most dangerous out of all

Pfizer

...April 2, 2014 Financial Ratio Analysis: Pfizer *All numbers in 1,000’s Changes in income statement and balance sheet (Pfizer) When we take a look at Pfizer’s income statement over the last decade, we see much fluctuation in total revenues. In 2009, Pfizer bottomed out at $50,000, but peaked 2 years later at $67,425. A similar pattern is seen when we look at the firm’s gross profit. It appears as though Pfizer maximizes their revenue and income when operating income is low, and in years where more money is spent on fixed assets and research and development. In essence, the key to Pfizer’s income statement walls in their promotion mix, and if we were to get a glimpse of that we would be able to explain all of these numbers more accurately. Analysis of ratios When we first look at the liquidity ratio for Pfizer, we see that the firm has increased the percentage of both the quick ratio and current ratio over the 10-year period by roughly 66%, indicating an increase in assets and a decrease in liabilities. The leverage ratios of the firm tell us that Pfizer has accumulated more debt over the last decade however that debt was highest during year 2007, and has decreased by 25% in the last 5 years. The profitability ratio provides us with information that we can use to see that the cost of Pfizer’s goods has increased steadily over the last decade, while the amount of revenue has stayed relatively even. Finally, the activity ratio tells us that the firm has been decreasing...

An example of inferential statistics is the following statement : "80% of all people living in Italy have the last name Nicolussi." We have no information about all people living in Italy, just about the 350 living in Luserna. We have taken that information and generalized it to talk about all people living in Italy. The easiest way to tell that this statement is not descriptive is by trying to verify it based upon the information provided. Ex. On the last 3 Sundays, Henry D. Carsalesman sold 2, 1, and 0 new cars respectively. An example of inferential statistics are the following statements : "Henry never sells more than 2 cars on a Sunday." ...line related to the heirloom line. It is one that will allow customers to customize the looks of the dolls they purchase through the New Heritage Doll Company website by utilizing a new software program. This proposal has an NPV of $8,200.45. The IRR is 17.64% and the MIRR is 16.13%. It has a Profitability Index of 2.13 and a payback period of 10.11 years. The value of the tax shield for this project is $629,000. The screening of these projects was extensive and based on this analysis we recommend the Match My Doll Clothing line extension. Although the Design Your Own Doll Line has a higher NPV, it is not the key factor as to what we should use when picking one project over the other. It is important to factor in the IRR, MIRR, Payback Period, and the PI as well. Furthermore, we included the Value of the Tax Shield into our valuation of which project to choose. The Match My Doll Clothing Line had higher returns when compared to its competitor in almost all categories (except in NPV), which thus led us to our decision. Match My Clothing Line is the project the New Heritage Doll Company should choose based on previous information stated. (Note: all values stated $ in thousands) Background New Heritage Doll Company was quickly approaching their company’s capital budgeting...

Over the last 5 years the revenue of Siemens stagnated and from the year 2010 to 2014 the company increased its revenues from 67,8 billion euro to 71,9 billion euro, which is an increase of only 6%. Whereby over the last 2 years the revenue decreased about 7% from 77,3 billion euro to 71,9 billion euro. Siemens gross profit margin deteriorated from 2012 to 2013 but increased from 2013 to 2014 by 5,5%, which indicates that the cost of goods sold decreased more than the revenue. From the year 2010 to 2014 the company was able to increase its EBIT from 5,8 billion euro to 7,4 billion euro, which is a growth of 27%.
