In today’s world, one needs to be mindful of sources s/he gathers. Now, with modern technology, it is even easier to misstate or fabricate mistruths and therefore tip the scales of fairness. An example of that is seen in the quote below:

They are our neighbors here, but it seems as if at a distance of a few hundred meters away, there are people who do not belong to our continent, to our world, but actually belong to a different galaxy."-The Jerusalem Post, May 10, 2001

This quote was allegedly made by former President Katsav of Israel, from an article writing about Hate Speech By Israel Against Palestine. And out of context, this speech seems biased and anti-Palestine. Furthermore, this passage coming from the President, would bring the reader to the conclusion that the Israel identifies herself to be self righteous and not willing to work with the Palestine for a solution. Instead, there is proof that this text is completely fabricated. As stated by Ricki Hollander, “It cannot be found, however, in any text book, news article, or published record, nor is there any mention or record of a General Ouze Merham anywhere else.”. Moreover, the use of the word Palestinian points to the fact that the account was made up. This passage was in the 1956, and the word Palestine only become popular after the 1960s (Hollander). But if the reader were to believe this quote to be true, the reader would come to the justified conclusion that the Israeli perspective is violent and cruel. Moreover, the reader would construct their understanding so that to completely favor the Palestinian perspective. And truly identify Palestinians as victims, and to identify Israelis to be
