Consulting Group – Team C has performed a lot of analysis on to help top management of Ballard Integrated Managed Services, Inc (BIMS). These tasks were the result of a high amount of turnover trend of attrition and employees being unhappy within this particular company. The initial action taken involved data collection that were presented and passed out to employees in the form of an internal employee survey. The data collection analysis revealed our hypothesis and we set out to prove that the increase in employee turnover was due to low employee morale and poor employee performance not being happy with their role and the environment being a part of this company. The initial survey leads us to understand we have to get a stronger response rate than just 17.3%—to help achieve the goal of obtaining the feedback of the vast majority of BIMS employees. By proceeding with our initial findings we analyzed, displayed, and interpreted, the outcome shows that BIMS was experiencing high turnover due to low pay and lack of communication within the organization. A survey was constructed and implemented by Debbie Homer, HR Manager analyzing the frequency and descriptive techniques of the data received. The survey’s purpose was to elicit information to gain insight on the employee’s views on working conditions, fair treatment, level of compensation, training, shift hours worked, internal communications and job security of the company. However, the initial survey produced findings that were not useful due to errors in keying in the data by office support, and biased questions that affected how the employees responded. As a result of the poorly constructed questions and bias information sought through the survey, only 17.3% response rate was received which was lower than expected. Barbara Tucker, General Manager, wants to discover what is making employees want to leave and has enlisted the help of Debbie Horner. Debbie Horner, human resources manager for Ballard, created an internal survey in hopes to calculate descriptive and frequency techniques, and study the data for possible relationships. A total of 78 responses were returned, which is a 17.3% response rate (University of Phoenix Week Two Supplement, 2012). All 78 employees answered on a scale of one to five, with one being very negative and five being very positive. Question #1 of the survey asks employees how well they enjoy working for BIMS. Based on the survey data collected, nineteen percent marked that they were very negative about working at BIMS. Twenty six percent of BIMS employees were negative toward enjoying their work.
