The Villain Detective Alexander Morgan was disgusted by the sight he had to endure after receiving an urgent 911 call. Her name was Penny Breese and her face was slit buccal to buccal; her orbitals were cut out. Detective Morgan knew whose handy work this was judging by the small switchblade left hanging out of Penny’s coxal, but he still asked the medical examiner “What’s the word on this one?” The medical examiner, Sarah, explained that she was still alive through every cut, and the last cut, a transverse one to her cervical, was the one that killed her. “I’d say it’s your guy again, detective.” said Sarah. Detective Morgan’s hunch was right, it was him. The most unoriginal serial killer of all time was back, even his name was bland. The Villain is what he called himself. And, although he was unoriginal in his ways, he was still sly. The Villain based most of his crimes off of The Joker from Batman, but rather than leaving a playing card, he left a knife. The Villain has been estimated to have killed around fifty three people this year alone and has yet to be arrested. Shortly after leaving the scene, another 911 call was received by detective Morgan, this one was still alive. When he arrived on scene number two, there was a woman in the back of an ambulance who called herself “Sunshine.” No, she wasn’t a hippie. She was a prostitute. There was blood running from her nasal to her oral. It was also visible that superior to her abdominal but inferior to her sternal, she had been cut . . . bad. “Miss, can you tell me what happened?” asked detective Morgan. “He tried to cut me so I hit him in the inguinal with my patellar.” replied Sunshine. Detective Morgan didn’t know where to go from there, he’d never seen someone survive an attack from this guy. When they arrived at the hospital, Sunshine underwent a pelvic exam . . . which now seems pointless since they knew who did it and she is in fact a prostitute. All of a sudden, Sunshine’s respiratory system seemed to hit a maximum, as did her cardiovascular. The doctors had no idea what was happening, then all of a sudden her heart stopped. Doctors soon came to the conclusion that The Villain had to have injected Sunshine’s veins with something that could cause this reaction, a drug of some sort. There went detective Morgan’s case. Little did he know, The Villain had someone else at that same moment. “Hm . . . what part of you should I cut first?” said The Villain to his third victim of the day, Jordyn. “I could start with you digitals, one by one of course, make my way proximal to your palmar and then finally finish this brachial off with your carpal. How does that sound, sweetheart?” All Jordyn could do was whimper and plead for her life like they all do. “No? You don’t like that plan? Okay, how about I start cutting you at your lumbar, work distal to your gluteal and then to femoral and finally to your pubic . . . but why stop there? I can continue from your pubic around to your popliteal and go around your sural to your crural down to your tarsal and finish off at your pes. And I promise, none of these cuts will be superficial.” Jordyn continued to beg for her life, and while The Villain enjoyed the constant plea, he was beginning to become annoyed with her. He said goodbye to her with a smile on his face. Jordyn thought The Villain had finally accepted her plea. She turned around to run out of the dark room he’d pushed her into, and just like that, there was a knife in her occipital. She wasn’t dead yet, just suffering. Her integumentary could still feel every cut being made on her anatomy. She was finally relieved when her nervous system shut down and her life slipped away. The Villain could see the relief in her orbitals . . . so he carved them out and put them in his pocket. Alexander Morgan woke up sweating profusely from his axillaries, along with the entire posterior of his body. His deltoids were sore and his cranial ached. When he tried to sit up, a chord attached to his pectoral held him back and he realized that there was a searing pain in that same spot. He put his dorsum to the side of his mental and realized there were tiny cuts. He looked down and saw a sagittal slit down his thoracic cavity. “Dr. Morgan, you’ve been in a coma for three days now, you were attacked.” explained the doctor. “Attacked? By who?” “The police believe it was the work of The Villain.” Suddenly, it all became clear to him. The Villain was real, and wasn’t just someone Alexander Morgan dreamed about. It seemed like déjà vu. The real Alexander Morgan was not a detective, in fact he had a doctorate degree in physiology. He decided that was why his dream was so technical. Everything was coming together . . . his profession, the actual existence of The Villain. It was all so clear. “Dr. Morgan, we’re afraid that the positive feedback is getting worse and worse and that homeostasis may never be fully restored in your body.” said the doctor on duty. “Can I see my full report?” asked Dr. Morgan. “I’m afraid that’s not a good idea.” replied the doctor. Alexander turned and felt immediate pain in his frontal, then his buccal, then finally the entire side of his facial. He reached up with his digitals and felt bandages. “What did he do to me?” asked Alexander.
The doctor handed him a mirror. When Alexander looked, he realized that along with his cuts, he had burns and lots of them. A detective walked in and explained how The Villain works. “Sir, he bases his killings off of The Joker from Batman.” said the detective. “I’m familiar.” replied Alexander. “Well, he used you to create Two Face . . .” the detective’s voice said as it trailed off. “Are the burns deep or superficial?” Alexander asked, looking at the doctor. “Deep, sir. Judging by the burns, I’d say you’ll never be able to use your muscular system in the burned your face again.” Alexander Morgan did not want to be remembered as Two Face, a villain. Despite his looks, he tried to be a positive role model. However, people did not agree. They saw him as a freak. Children feared him. Ever since then, Alexander Morgan has been known as The Knife, sidekick to The Villain.
