Many historians argue about the fact whether Andrew Jackson is a democrat or a autocrat. Based on the evidence gathered from the documents it can be concluded that Jackson was an autocrat. In the beginning of his presidency his intentions were shown to be democratic. He wanted everyone to be equal as stated in document “Spoils System: Doc 2.” when he says”No man one man has any more-right to official station than the other.
