Trash which is one of the main problem in the world in terms of health and environment has been increasing day by day. Not only lack of education but also unplanned urbanization trigger this problem. Ankara which is a large city can be given an example for this problem. When the population of this city increases, the trash problem in that environment will cause many people, animals and the nature to be damagedin the way of health. Trash problem in Ankara become a highly controversial topic between the officials of government and many proffessionals in Turkey. While the officials of government argue that there is not a trash problem in Ankara, the proffesionals and experts support that this problem has been remaining in nowadays in Ankara. Trash which is a global problem has been increasing minacously in Ankara day by day because of lack of awareness and unplanned urbanization.
The main reason of trash problem in Ankara is lack of awareness. In today's world, education is not a measurement to specify people who learn what is the good or bad thing.
Especially university students who are known as a well-educated people have negative effects in this problem. For example, the picture above is belonged to Ted University's students. This picture is a scene which describes how much well-educated students give importance their area and how these people show an approach to this problem. Therefore, it is not related to university or school, this is related to lack of awareness between people and their environment. Not only students at Ted University but also the others universities in Ankara have a scene which look to be this picture. In addition to these, when a person walks around the anyplace of Ankara or drives a car in Ankara, s/he can realize that the main reason of this problem is lack of awareness. Most of the people who are not conscious about this problem say that throwing litter is easier than fling something into rubbish bin but they can not think the damages of throwing litter. This problem can be solved by increasing in awareness of people about the damages of trash.
Another main reason of trash problem in Ankara is unplanned urbanization. The most important part of unplanned urbanization is that there is no dustbin and bin bag in environment. For example, this picture below which takes in the environmet of Kızılay can become a nice example for this argument.This picture also shows that the government should interfere in this environment and like tihs environment to prevent damages of trash in terms of health and scene. It can be said that some people who are observed in the streets and parks generally are conscious about the trash but these people sometimes throw litter like most of the people who are not conscious because of the unplanned urbanization. It means that ıf there is no dustbin in an environment, the easiest way is to throw litter instead of dustbin.
To summarize, there are two main reason of the trash problem in Ankara. While one of the reasons is lack of awareness about trash problem, another main reason is unplanned urbanization. These reasons which are made by the people who are conscious and unconscious cause many people, animals and the nature to severe damages. This problem in Ankara can be solved by increasing in awareness of the trash and making a plan around the environment.
