Necrosis is the death of cells and tissues in a region of the body. These two indications are directly linked to kidney failure and the necrosis itself proves her dying kidney. Although Anna’s right kidney appeared normal in the autopsy, the extra stress that diabetes already had on her body could’ve been her body’s breaking point. Some other indications found in the autopsy report that show Anna didn’t manage her diabetes well, which resulted to her death, are a clouded right eye, swollen blood vessels in the eyes, and abnormal blood vessels on the left retina. Anna was also found with blue tinting of finger which is caused from lack of oxygen, edema in her feet, swelling in the abdomen, vomit present in the crime scene, and it was indicated that she fell and hit her head meaning she felt dizziness. All of these symptoms found in Anna (lack of oxygen, abdominal swelling, edema in feet/legs, dizziness, and vomiting) are symptoms of kidney failure. Kidney failure affects the skeletal system and the circulatory system. Kidney failure causes weakness in bones and causes the calcium and phosphorus concentrations of the bones to go

...determined to be at 7 A.M. on the 14 of August 2011, and a external autopsy report was arranged. Through the series of provided evidence it is presumed that the death of Anna Garcia was an accident. The reason being from the extreme head wound to her right temple and the presence of vomit. This is the situation: The day before a neighbor noticed that Anna was curiously wearing a sweater in 92 degrees weather. The reason could have been that Anna was suffering from cold chills or fevers because she was not taking care of her present disease. Which in this case could have been diabetes due to the insulin found on the body at the crime scene. Anna was in her home crossing her hallway while holding 4 pills (which were aspirin) from her present back pain and a cup of unknown liquid in a blue plastic. Before she could take the medicine she began to feel dizzy like she might have been slipping into a diabetic coma....

Drawing from personal experience, three individual case pertaining to each principle are provided to illustrate how each principle is either observed or breached. Tesco Case Study

...HOLY ANGEL UNIVERSITY Angeles City CASE STUDY: Submitted by: Aquino, Pauline Catherine Catajan, Nikka Camille Garcia, Mary Fe Yza Maniago, Lizette D. Nepomuceno, Anna Bettina S. Submitted to: Mrs. Maria Cristina Naguit September 01, 2014 Summary Tesco is the largest British retailer and is also the world's third largest grocery retailer with outlets across Europe, USA and Asia. The business began in 1919 with one man, Jack Cohen, selling groceries from a stall in the East End of London. Jack bought surplus stocks of tea from a company called T.E. Stockwell. T.E. Stockwell and Cohen combined their names to brand the tea Cohen originally sold TESCO tea. In 1929, the first Tesco store opened in north London. Tesco has expanded since then by a combination of acquisition of new stores, retail services and by adapting to the needs of consumers. Tesco has net profits (before tax) of around £3 billion. Tesco's primary aim is 'to serve the customer'. Keeping existing customers happy is important, as they are more likely to return. This is more cost effective for the business than acquiring new ones. In the UK Tesco now has over 2,200 stores ranging from the large Extra hypermarket style stores to small Tesco Express high street outlets. Tesco's original product range of grocery and general merchandise has diversified to include banking, insurance services, electrical goods as well as telephone equipment and airtime. This move towards 'one stop shopping' means...

Legalization of Brothel Prostitution

...Legalization of Regulated Brothel Prostitution Sex is an integral part of human culture and nature. Humans have an ingrained craving for it that they satiate in different manners. Prostitution, long described as the world’s oldest profession, formed around this craving and over time has evolved into a worldwide industry that has only been aided through the use of technology. However, sex work remains illegal in the United States and most parts of the world and the consequences for participating as a consumer or supplier are grave. This illegality has adverse effects on modern society’s health, economy and safety that would easily be alleviated in the event of the decriminalization of prostitution and the legalization of regulated brothel prostitution: Prostitutes face a real health risk due to the criminalization. According to Steffanie A. Strathdee and colleagues from her article “Dispelling Myths about Sex Workers and HIV” in the medical journal The Lancet. …sex workers face substantial barriers in accessing prevention, treatment, and care services… because of stigma, discrimination, and criminalization.” and “illegality of sex work creates barriers to sex workers seeking HIV prevention… due to fear of authorities. This fear of authorities is a significant barrier for prostitutes for many reasons and includes prostitute’s unfortunate avoidance to condom use. “Police harassment, [the] arrest of sex workers for carrying condoms [and] the use of condoms as evidence of sex...

Reflective Account

...Discuss how self-assessment, goal setting, models of reflection and the use of feedback can help you in your own learning development. Illustrate your own points by using examples drawn from your own university experience so far including portfolio activities. This paper is going to discuss my own personal learning development on my journey through university so far. This will be done by assessing myself through different portfolio activities I have undertaken as part of the academic study skills module, namely activities one, two, three, four and seven. I will also review goals I set myself as well as reflecting upon my learning experiences. I will do this by using the Kolb’s Cycle of Experimental Learning (McLeod, 2013) finally concluding on what I have learnt through this process. According to Heidi Andrade and Anna Valtcheva (2009) self-assessment is crucial in order for our learning to develop. They believe that this is so we can identify our strengths and weaknesses and to determine which areas we may need to improve upon. One of the portfolio activities I had to complete was a self-assessment audit (portfolio activity one) which consisted of a series of questions that related to different skills I possess. Such as my information technology skills or how I handle any problems I may encounter and I had to rate myself on how well I thought my skills were. At the end of the audit I received a score of ninety-six out of a possible one hundred and thirty-nine...
