I choose to do my American historical figure on Anne Bradstreet also known as Anne Dudley. She was born in Northampton England (March 20 1612- September 16 1672). Anne Bradstreet was the most prominent of early English poets of North America and first female writer in the British North America colonies to be published. She was the daughter of Thomas Dudley. Thomas Dudley was a steward of the Earl of Lincoln, and Dorthy Yorke. Anne Bradstreet grew up in cultured circumstances and she was known as a well-educated woman for her time.
