Yes, the case makes sense to me. The case takes me back to history, during colonialism; the very time cruelty to the blacks was hot by the Whites, were mistreated in every sector of the economy. Through the Case study, history of what Blacks were undergoing can be generated. The Negroes were mistreated and unfairly treated on their work place. The whites never wanted them to have good ranks and good jobs, so they had to create barriers for them. The case reflects the works the blacks were given; they had no choice to decide on the work of their choice but must belong to the labor department where one had almost no chance to get promotions, the very work that was paid poorly. The case makes me to feel sorry for the mistreated black during then. Blacks were not only undermined in terms of job allocation but also on the salary they got, the highest salary the black got was less than the lowest salary the white man got. This showed that the Whites were really exploiting the blacks on their dues. The introduction of high school diplomas was intentionally to suppress the blacks from job promotions and transfer from one department to the other. The diplomas that Duke introduced after all did not correspond directly to high returns. Through the case study it gives evidence that even for those who …show more content…
