...The article “Takoma Park 16-year-old savors his history making moment at the polls” by Annys Shin, talks about how the Takoma City Council granted the right for 16 and 17 year olds to vote in municipal elections. This is a bad idea to let sixteen and seventeen years olds vote, they should wait till they are eighteen if they really want to vote. At the age of eighteen seems like a long time but it’s what’s best. In my opinion I believe sixteen and seventeen years old shouldn’t be allowed to vote just yet until they turn eighteen since that’s allowed then. Sixteen and seventeen years old shouldn't vote until they are eighteen. The article “Takoma Park 16-year-old savors his history making moment at the polls” by Annys Shin explains why...

...No Angel The short story No Angel is written by the Bernie McGill in 2010. She is an author who lives in Northern Ireland, where the story also takes place. It is from the anthrology The Best British Short Stories 2011. The story is about grief, loneliness and how to recover from a death of a loved one. People got different ways to move on, but no matter what, it is terribly painful to lose a loved one, because you suddenly are alone. On the one hand you recover by trying to forget about the pain the loss has brought, but on the other hand you want to remember the one who passed away, because of the fear of loneliness and because the death is hard to accept. Others don’t want to accept the fact that they’re gone and will never be here again, and thereby they find a rather special way to keep the memory of the lost person. They create the lost one(s) inside their head, and pretending they see the dead(s) as ghosts or angels. This makes them able to talk to them and get advices from their beloved, even though they are no longer here. This is the way our main character of No Angel is using to handle her sorrows of her family’s death. The main characters name is Annie. You get to know it when the father says “Have you forgotten what they did to your brother, Annie?...”(p. 3, l. 63). Annie has lost her brother and both of her parents and deals with being left on her own without them to support, guide and, most of all, love her. She still sees them after they’re dead as angels...

...the world. Discrepancies make it difficult to establish specific dates. Roquentin’s initial dated entry is “Monday, 29 January, 1932” (4). However, 29 January, 1932, was a Friday. Additionally, the third through sixth entries include two Thursdays and Fridays. If those are accurately labeled, they are separated by a week. Given that, the record must cover a five-week period. However, the time span will not accommodate five weeks. Therefore, the initial two Thursdays and Fridays are either not separated by a week or are mislabeled. Dating the fifth entry, “Thursday, 11.30” (27-30) 4 February, 1932, brings the remaining entries into a coherent sequence. Assuming that the date for the initial entry is 29 January, 1932, and that Roquentin met Anny on Saturday, 20 February, the diary begins on Friday, 29 January, and concludes on Wednesday, 24 February, 1932. Finally, Flayton needs to put in place procedures to prevent future security breaches. Evaluate the obligation Flayton Electronics has to its customers to protect their private data. Flayton Electronics must do everything in their power to protect their customers’ private data. Flayton had implemented a PCI system; however, the system was only running at 75% when it should have been at 100%. There was also a problem with their firewall. Sergei stated that they had to keep turning the system on and off because of glitches. The American Heritage Dictionary (2012, No.2) states a firewall as, “Anny of a number of security schemes that prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to a computer network or that monitor transfers of information to and from the network.” In order for a PCI system to run effectively and efficiently, a firewall must be installed and maintained. In Flayton’s case, the firewall was implemented but not properly maintained causing the PCI system to be inadequate. Therefore, Flayton’s could not completely protect the...

...Anny Bravo PTC “To the bitter end” assignment Genetics Lab-U06 Part II – Mendelian Genetics Questions 1) Using the chart it is apparent that the ability to taste PTC is a dominant trait. When neither parent can taste the bitterness, the children cannot taste. So, when one or both of the parents can taste then their children can also taste the PTC, this is evidence that the ability to taste PTC is inherited. 2) It is important for Snyder to verify that males and females had similar proportions of tasters and nontasters so that we can distinguish that gender is not a factor in determining a taster or nontaster. If gender did affect the sensitivity to PTC then the numbers would have to represent accordingly to avoid any errors in numbers....

She follows a sixteen year old named Ben Miller who remarked “he [had] no burning issues motivating him, not even legalization of marijuana…” It is not common for young adults to be neutral on issues, but does present itself in some cases. I met California Senator Diane Feinstein during a Los Angeles Worlds Affair Council and another student asked her if at the age of 17, was she ever moved by politics. She bluntly answered no to his question. She admitted to a lack of maturity and lack of interest which is something American teens...
