Also we aimed to create a standard testing procedure for the Dish Type Solar Concentrator, which is now currently available for Solar Flat plate collectors only. Over the course of the project I also made myself acquainted with basic Solar Energy concepts and Thermal Engineering. Several operating parameters viz. Solar Intensity, Area of Aperture, reflectivity and thermal conductivity of fluid were analysed and evaluated in order to find out the best efficiency. The prototype consist of a manual Dual Axis sun tracking mechanism with an array of plane mirrors acting as the reflective media, which is right now placed at the School of Energy Studies, Pune University and further research is being done. After my graduation, I wanted to expand my horizons in the field of design, hence I took up a diploma course in Product Design and Development from one of the certified institutions in Mumbai. I am very well versed with Creo- Parametric, Auto-Cad and ANSYS workbench. I am currently doing an internship with MAHLE Behr India Ltd., in Pune which is the leading manufacturer of Engine cooling systems and HVAC systems in Automobiles.
